A bit of background on me: After driving my parents crazy by constantly showing up at home with a new animal in need of a loving home, I decided to make the move from South Africa to Adelaide to pursue my passion for animal care in 2019. I have since earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Behaviour and a Certificate III in Dog Behaviour, Psychology and Training.&nbsp;
I've had many different types of pets over my 26 years, and am well versed in handling and caring for all dogs, cats, birds, rodents and reptiles (even the biiig snakes). 
Though I am new to Pawshake, I am certainly not new to the world of pet sitting. I have gained valuable experience working as a pet sitter and doggy daycare attendant for a local business.
Unfortunately, I currently reside in a small apartment, which means I can't have pets of my own or provide boarding services. Pet sitting allows me to provide the innate love and care I've always had for animals to other people's pets, while also helping owners in need of a reliable and experienced sitter.

I am available from Monday to Friday from 6am to 4pm because I am a student. All day on weekends. Within my services I can administer oral medication to pets and teach them various tricks  Feed the pet as necessary. Pets are kept in hygienic conditions: any dirt is cleaned from the pet and the owner is informed of any signs of illness or injury. The length of my home visits depends on how much the owner needs me, the minimum is half an hour. The duration of the walks is half an hour. In 24-hour housekeeping and in all services I can also water the plants.

I work at Dogcity Daycare in the mornings so I can do daycare for your dog as long as it already attends a Dogcity facility, if not the dog won't be attended for 5 hours only during the day during this time. My home has a medium sized fully fenced backyard with a small patch of fake grass, a raised plant bed and a outside gym area. I live with 4 other family members and one dog who's a medium sized Border Collie. You will need to provide a bed or crate for you dog to sleep in for dog boarding. I am a qualified aged care worker and technical writer working from home in Adelaide/Hong Kong since 2021. Prior to that I worked and lived in Alice Springs NT for 10 years in tourism and travel industry. Haven worked as a travel consultant for helloworld Alice Springs for over 5 years, it was my previledge to travel extensively across Australia. However I'd love to keep travelling in a non-traditional way, that's why I looked into house sitting and I started working as a live in aged carer in Sydney for 6 months and to experience a very expensive city while generating an income. I joined pet shake because I really enjoy being with dogs and cats, and currently the conditions do not allow me to have my own. So I have a lot of love to give them, and it's a good way to take daily walks. I'm happy to visit your pets if you need that, play with them and customize the visits according to their personality.
In addition to the usual tasks such as cleaning their spaces, changing their water and feeding them, I am happy to do additional tasks such as collecting the mail, taking out the bins and watering the plants.
I have experience taking care of pets, walking dogs and cats, basic behavior training and I quickly build relationships with they.
