I love all pets, big and small. I have been pet sitting and dog walking for 2+ years, while also working full time in a Dog Daycare. This has allowed me to gain lots of experience in animal behaviour and handling, as has completing my Certificate III in Animal Care. I am compassionate and patient and will truly love your pet as if they were my own. I am also physically fit so will be able to walk and care for your pet no matter the size or strength. I have two toy poodles named Rosie and Harley who are very friendly, so play dates can be arranged while I care for your pet if socialisation is something you want for your fur baby. I also have a basic knowledge of dog training, so if that is something you are interested in, I would be happy to discuss and help in any way I can!
As I am living with house mates I will be unable to have your pet stay at my house so staying with your pet in the comfort of its own home is best. I also offer walks and just general check-ups :)

I'm working remotely from home as an external auditor, and my wife, Vania, is pursuing her PhD at the Crawford School of Public Policy, ANU. We have dogs in Indonesia, and unfortunately, we cannot bring them to Canberra. Also, we cannot have our own dog here as we live in a shared house with other residents. I also adopted several old higher needs arctic dogs for years, so I have experience with large dogs.&nbsp;Motivation: I am not currently able to have cats or dogs in my current home, and really miss having them around, so pet sitting is a great way to meet and get to know some lovely fur babies and look after them.Method: I let animals interact with me on their own terms, so if they're cuddly and affectionate they get as much affection as they want, if they just want to stare at me from across the room while I sing silly songs with their name in it, that's also fine. Hello! I am Pranami, a PhD scholar studying marine bacteria at ANU, Canberra. I have recently moved to Australia and I am experienced in taking care of kittens, puppies and older cats and dogs, of all sizes, big and small and also bunnies. I can give baths, trim nails, clean ears, if and when needed. I love teaching tricks to dogs, both indoor and outdoor and also love playing with them. I especially like playing seek with my dogs (I have 3, one German Shepherd and two Indian rescues), where they would be seeking me or any of their favorite toys. It's an easy indoor game to teach and dogs love it once they get the hang of it. As for cats, I know they love their "me-time" and I give them what they need. With my cats, they've always been cuddlers, so I usually would walk around or sit with them on my lap. One of my recent cats loved to show affection by play-biting. And that's pretty much all she would do when we hang out. I make some DIY string toys for them to play with and that keeps them occupied for most of the time. I can also give medicines to both dogs and cats.
I am experienced with pet sitting in different places around the world like California, Beijing, Bangalore, to name a few. I update my clients with photos/videos or calls if they prefer that, atleast twice a day. Pet sitting for me is more out of my ardent love of animals rather than just a job. Due to my flexible schedule, I am available any time of the day, all days a week to look after your furry friends while you are away. After moving out of home for uni I desperately miss the companionship of animals, and would love the opportunity to walk/overnight sit dogs to fill this missing void. I have sat old and grey as well as new pups as well as children ranging from 6 months to 12 years old. I know this is usually for pets but I do it all!!
