"We were a week out from leaving on an interstate family holiday when our dog sitter (my parents) announced they were off to NZ the same time we would be away….they’d completely forgotten Mochi, our large exuberant Harrier Hound, was going to stay with them while we were away.
Enter Pawshake. Dale was the first and only person we contacted - obviously time was a factor in our case, and her responsiveness, prices, easy going nature, and the fact she knew what she was talking about (plus she said nice things about our doggie!), meant we didn’t need to contact anyone else. (We looked at a few profiles on Pawshake and the number of people, young people, saying they could handle large excitable dogs in their one bedroom “insert trendy inner suburb here” apartment was laughable).
Mochi isn’t yet 2 years old and he’s huge (40 kg and my height -165cm when he stands up on two legs), he is a hound, bred to think a certain way (which is often “I’m doing what I want regardless) and on top of all of this, Mochi just wants to be loved and be around you. He needs someone who is going to give him all the love in the world while not being a pushover.
Dale knew how to respond and interact with Mochi from the start. He came back to us happy, healthy and very tired (we struggle to tire him out so this was brilliant).
Dale has the space, set up, location and knowledge for you to be able to leave your pet with her and not be worried about whether or not you made the right dog sitter decision. She updated us daily with photos of Mochi- it was so heartwarming to see Mochi wasn’t just another dog at their house; he was very much a part of their family and in the mix of it all for the 6 days he was with them.
We will not hesitate to book Dale again. Thank you so much for taking care of our boy! "

"I highly recommend Paris as a dog sitter. Paris looked after my standard XLPoodle Raph for 10 days while I was away. She picked Raph off and dropped him home which was very convenient for me as I dont personally drive. She also comunicated with me every morning and evening about how he was; sending cute photos of Raph playing, waching TV , sleeping , going to parks and cafes while I was away so I could see what he was up . Raph came home with a brushed and washed coat looking very well looked after and happy. While I was away Raph had an itritated eye and Paris made sure to alert me as soon as she noticed and purchased some eye drops which she gave to Raph so that his eye healed quickly with no hassles. I would highly recomend Paris for larger dogs as she has experience with my dog and also Border collies . Paris will be looking after Raph in the future when I travel for work."

"As soon as Lucky arrived at Rabea's, he went straight for the doggy toys she had for him to play with and lay down looking most relaxed.
I know they went for a big walk and play and he spent the evening chilled and content... well as chilled as he gets anyway.
She was so thoughtful, communicative, helpful and relaxed.
I can't wait to find the reason to use her again!"

"This was a first time experience of leaving our pooch with a pet sitter & we are so glad GQ offered to look after our dog.
Within no time our pooch settled in and also had some companionship.
He was well looked after and we did have the peace of mind in knowing that.
Throughout the stay we were kept well informed through the app with pictures and information on how he was settling in or what he was upto. Great communication & I would highly recommend and use this service again."
