Hi! I’m Monica, from Portugal, and I absolutely love animals. My dog Sushi is back home with my parents, and I can't have pets in my flat sadly. That's why I love petsitting and dogwalking, so I can spend time with animals and miss my dog a little bit less.

I live in Currumbin near the Wildlife Sanctuary; I have a scooter so I can drive but would prefer not to go too far (10km radius). 

I have been petsitting for the last 5 years, mostly dogs and cats, but there were also a couple of rabbits and fish. This was my hobby while I was living in Belgium, besides my full-time job. Spending time with animals is relaxing and fun, so I always make time for it.

I was also a volunteer in a dog shelter in Portugal, from where I adopted my 2nd dog Sushi. I had to clean up the shelter and deal with rescued dogs with some problematic behaviours too. 

My 1st dog Spin was a rescue as well, and he had chronic illnesses, so I am very experienced with caring for a sick pet, giving medication and round the clock care, especially with a senior dog. 

As a sitter, I’m caring and responsible. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding routines, or cuddling, I always make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I am used to medium sized dogs mostly, but I have also taken care of big dogs and small dogs, so size and shape don't matter: I am comfortable with any pet.
