Hello!
My name is Charlotte Truscott, and I am 19 years old. For my main occupation, I am currently more than halfway through completing an Automotive Electrical Apprenticeship, meaning a bulk of my time is typically taken up by my full time employment, and study. 📚🛠️
However, due to a workplace injury in which resulted in a knee reconstruction, I have found myself regretfully, working reduced hours for the foreseeable future.
I myself, am located in Sandford on plentiful acreage, alongside my long-term partner, and younger sister. Up until January, this was my late mother’s home. My mum unfortunately, passed away from a short battle with Cancer in January of this year. Many people may have known my mum, as a dedicated Vet Nurse, Behaviouralist Trainer, Foster Carer, and Dog Sitter. Her predominant position was located within The Dogs’ Home of Tasmania, however mum ran many wonderful programs and worked alongside some of our most vulnerable in the community.
My earliest memories, consist of nothing less than coming home from school to litters of foster puppies! To myself, an endless supply of puppies was nothing short of a dream come true! However me and my sister, soon learnt the hard work and specialised care that they truly require, especially when it came our shift for midnight bottlefeeding! We have worked with vulnerable surrenders who just needed some warmth, and understanding in order to further be adopted, pregnant/birthing dogs, rescues, and those in bad or sensitive condition, along with native wildlife! Our childhood was solely dog oriented, and I could not think of a time where it was not. But mum didn’t just have a profound love for dogs, she had a profound love for all, in which of course meant we have many animals ourselves, including however not limited to, Dogs, Cats, Horses, Sheep, Goats, Chickens, Ducks, Cows, Rabbits, ect. Over the years, mum gained quite the extensive clientele of whom we would board, and sit for. And of course, since her passing, I couldn’t let go of the community, and furry friends we had been involved with for so long. Animals of all kinds hold a very special place in my heart thanks to her. So I had made the decision, to not only continue to take on her pre-exisiting clientele, but also to recently open our books to new friendly faces on both MadPaws, and Pawshake, hence the lack of bookings on my profile! I am beyond grateful to be able to continue on her legacy, whilst also being able to support myself and my younger sister through this new chapter without her. 💕
As you may of been able to gather, I have extensive knowledge, and confidence in my abilities to provide the best, and most personalised care to your fur-babies. With over 10 years of daily experience, from specific feeding and sleep routines, to administration of medication, I can assure that I provide a safe, loving, and competent environment. I hold my P2s licence, so reliable transport is no issue, and have access to 24/7 Veterinary Assistance if required. Happy to provide both character references, and a current Police Check if necessary.
Warmest Regards 💜🌈
