Dog walkies — ideal for dogs of all ages and energy levels.

30–60 minutes of sniffing, strolling, and exploring around your local area — whether that’s a bush track, the park, a beach run, or just around the block. Each walk is tailored to your dog’s vibe: energetic adventure or slow and snout-deep in the grass.

Does your pup need more than one walk a day? Great news — I have multiple bookable spots available each day!

Once-a-day home visits — ideal for older dogs, cats, and smaller indoor pets.

Includes 30 minutes of quality time: meals served, water refreshed, cuddles delivered, and a good play session if they’re up for it. I’m also happy to bring in the mail or any packages and water your indoor plants.

Twice-a-day home visits — ideal for pets who prefer a set schedule.

Two 30-minute visits are perfect for pets who like a bit more company — morning and evening care to keep their routine steady and tails wagging.

How I can help:

I currently have a flexible schedule and reliable transportation, making it easy to pop in for walks, feedings, or quick visits. I grew up surrounded by pets of all shapes and sizes, and as an adult, I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, fish — and even the occasional squirrel — as a full-time pet sitter. I also gained valuable avaian knowledge during my time volunteering at BirdCare Aotearoa. 

No two pets are alike, which is why I always adapt my care to fit their individual needs. I’m calm, gentle, and reliable, whether I’m giving meds, keeping to a strict feeding schedule, or just providing a friendly presence. You’ll always be kept in the loop with photos and updates, so you never have to worry.

Availability notes:

I’m unavailable early Monday mornings, Monday evenings (4–6 PM) and Thursday evenings — our puppy Levee has Collie Club drop-off and pickup and agility :)

Kia ora, my name is Mel and I'm very much looking forward to meeting you and your pet!

In 2021, our life was turned up-side-down after we said goodbye to our beloved Border Collie mix, Mia, following 15 wonderful years together. To bring joy (and a little furrry chaos) back into our days, my partner and I spent 18 months travelling the world as full-time pet and house sitters — including caring for two mischievous Spanish gatos in Madrid!

Now settled on the North Shore, we feel incredibly lucky to call beautiful Aotearoa our home. We even welcomed a puppy (a tri-colour Border Collie) into our whānau who will be turning 1 in November!

Although we're a one dog family, I still have the need to to spoil pets of all shapes and sizes with walks, playtime, cuddles, and treats. Whether it’s belly rubs, feeding, or just being a trusted companion, my goal is to make every furry, feathered, or finned friend feel happy, safe, and loved while giving their owners peace of mind.
