About Audrey
At our home, your pet becomes part of our family. After losing our beloved English Golden Cocker Spaniel to lymphoma, we understand the deep bond between pets and their owners, and we are here to provide the same love and care to your furry family members.
We are a family of 4 — myself Audrey, my husband, our 8-year-old son, and our 4-year-old daughter — living in a pet-friendly home just two blocks from the beach and five minutes from local parks. With a doggy door, courtyard and an open bed policy (unless you prefer otherwise), we’re here to make your pet feel comfortable and cherished while you're away. Whether it’s cuddling on the couch, outdoor playtime, or quiet moments of love, we will treat your pet as our own and give you peace of mind knowing they’re in caring hands.
Why are we doing this? We are not ready to get another dog just yet hence why we thought this opportunity would be great to help others as I wish we had us to look after our girl when we went away. It's always been hard to find availability & the right carer, so we get it! I also work from home so you can feel confident that your loved one wouldn't be alone. I have personally had Kelpies, Bichon Fritz, Maltese, Cocker Spaniel's and now Labradors as pets and since joining Pawshake have cared for Greyhounds, Border Collies, Huskies so I have a good understanding of different breeds and personality traits. The youngest pup we have cared for is 8 weeks old up to 14 years old.
Our children love dogs and are very gentle and kind with them we just ask for your honesty if your furry loved one is not ok with children.
We applied to be foster puppy carers with Vison Australia in 2025 (a dream of mine) and successfully trained our first (Black Labrador) and now she's back with us as she has been accepted into the Breeding program. So now we will care for her on and off throughout this program, sometimes having months apart. Latte sleeps in her crate and when we are out so separation from other dogs is regular.
This has been a huge learning for us as we are used to free range dog policies at home and these pups have a few things they cannot do. We also relief care for other foster families at Vision Australia and have puppy trained a (Yellow Labrador) who we puppy prepped for another foster family which involved toilet training and basic commands.
We look forward to meeting you & hearing all about your furry family member.
*Boarding includes pickup before 6pm on the final day. Pickups after 6pm may incur a half daycare fee, and pickups after 8pm may incur a full daycare fee depending on availability.
