Hi, I'm Fran! I’m an experienced full-time pet-sitter and architect housesitting around Melbourne.

I have been house sitting in Melbourne casually since 2018, but I have been house sitting full-time around Melbourne for over 3 years and have absolutely loved exploring different sides of the city and getting to meet lovely homeowners and their pets.

I am an easy-going, mature, reliable, well-mannered, considerate, and tidy individual. I’ve been told by a few pet owners that my calm personality rubs off on their pets, who are often relaxed and content when they return home - which is nice to hear!

I am an active individual, regularly walking or bike riding whenever I can. I enjoy meeting new people and animals, and I love the outdoors, so taking fur-friends for long walks is not a chore!

🏠  EXPERIENCE

I've looked after many animals over the years of all sizes, from tropical fish aquariums to med-large dogs. I am very used to adapting to each animal's unique needs, temperament, and routines. I’ve had experience with rescue animals, animals with anxiety, and those with health conditions requiring oral medications.

I understand that a new person in the home can be unsettling for some pets. My philosophy is to use a "slow and steady" approach, allowing the animal to come to me at their own pace. In my experience, even the most timid animals typically warm up to me within a day or two, and we are great companions by the end of the sit!

🏠 ARE WE A GOOD FIT?

> Preference for inner-city Melbourne locations with good public transport and/or bike access.

> Typcially prefer 14+ day sits (to reduce moving), with occasional flexibility for shorter stays if there is a small gap between two other bookings.

🐶  WHAT TO EXPECT

- Feel free to reach out to me over the chat with any questions you have

- If you are happy to proceed we will set up a 'Meet & Greet' at your home where we will talk about your pet and home (see list below of what we run through on the day)

- If we are both happy to proceed you will follow the steps in the Pawshake app to finalise the booking

- I will provide you with an onboarding document where you can record any specific instructions and information about your pet and home I will need for the petsit

- While you are away I will provide photo updates of your pets to you and respond promptly to your messages

- I will follow any instructions or house rules you have written for me to follow

- You will arrive to find a clean home / in the same condition as you left it

- Your pet to be happy and relaxed on your return home

- Your privacy and property respected always

- I carry two suitcases with me, one of which is my 'portable pantry' so I am all catered for on the food front 🙂

- I do have a drivers license but not a car. So would be able to drive incase of a pet emergency, or if cars on your property needed moving while you were away.

📝 Capturing information in a document...I bring with me a Housesit / Pet Information sheet you can fill in so you can relax knowing all the important information you need to let me know for your home and pet has been captured. I'll share this with you at the meet & greet or send digitally to you via email if you decide to go ahead with the booking.
