Hi there! I'm Jeanne, a recent Master’s graduate in Environment and Sustainability, and previously an environmental educator🌿. People who know me usually describe me as a kind and cheerful person with a lovely smile😊. I truly love animals of all kinds💖(including reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates). Caring for animals with heart, patience and respect is something I value deeply, and it has shaped my career path. My previous jobs allowed me to work closely with many wild animals, but I’ve never been able to keep pets at home. But that never stopped me!🔥 Since 2014, I have been volunteering at a dog rescue centre with over 400 medium to large sized dogs. I visit weekly and walk around 10 dogs each shift. Sometimes I take them hiking or even on overnight camping trips. Watching them get excited to explore beyond the shelter is honestly the highlight of my week🤩. I’ve also helped friends care for their pets — dogs, rabbits, leopard geckos and birds — and assisted an animal organisation with the care of ball pythons that were confiscated by the government. I’ve lived with a family who had 30 dogs, and I’ve supported wildlife carers looking after birds, wallabies and wombats, so I’ve gained experience with all sorts of animals. I really enjoy spending time with animals, and I’d love more opportunities to make new furry friends here too. That’s why I’m here now!🤗 ✨✨✨Please note: [For house sitting] I’m job hunting and may relocate, so I’m only able to take bookings from the end of Jan onwards. I also have occasional casual roles that require me to step out during the day, which means I may not always be able to return for lunchtime feeding. ✨✨✨
