Hi! I’m Shira 👋🐾

I’m a teacher, mum of two and lifelong dog lover based in Yokine. Alongside teaching, I’m following my passion for dogs and offering dog walking, doggy daycare, home visits and overnight stays in Yokine and surrounding areas.

My husband and I have years of experience caring for other people’s pets. Before having children, we ran a successful house and pet-sitting business in South Africa, looking after pets for regular clients and eventually growing the business to include other sitters.

I’m also currently studying canine behaviour, psychology and training, which I’m absolutely loving. I’m fascinated by what makes dogs tick and enjoy getting to know each dog as an individual — their personality, quirks, energy levels and what helps them feel happy and comfortable. 🐶❤️

Walks are tailored to your dog, with both 30 and 60-minute options depending on their age, fitness and needs. I love giving dogs plenty of opportunity to sniff and explore rather than simply rushing them around the block! 🌿🐕

Home visits can include feeding, fresh water, toilet breaks, playtime, cuddles and a short walk if needed. For doggy daycare, dogs spend the day as part of our family, with walks, play, enrichment and plenty of downtime and naps in between. I keep numbers small so every dog gets lots of individual attention.

I work part-time as a teacher, so my availability varies throughout the week, but I have flexibility for walks, visits and daycare as well as weekends and school holidays. If your dog is staying with us, I’ll always discuss their usual routine with you beforehand, including how comfortable they are being left alone and for how long. I won’t leave a dog for longer than their owner and I have agreed is appropriate.

We have a secure, dog-friendly family home with two children aged 7 and 10, and we’re surrounded by fantastic parks and walking routes. Because this is our family home, dogs staying for daycare or overnight need to be comfortable around children. We’ll always arrange a meet and greet first to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable.

Most importantly, whether your dog joins me for a walk, a visit, daycare or a sleepover, they’ll be treated like one of the family — with plenty of love, attention, enrichment, exercise and photo updates along the way! 🐾📸
