We are Franco and Pilar, a couple of travelers originally from Argentina. Before moving to Australia, we lived in Barcelona, Spain, for seven years, where we cared for countless pets in our home—dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes—for short periods as well as for extended stays during their owners' vacations! Living right across the street from the beach meant endless walks, games in the sand, and so much fun for our furry guests. Growing up, we both always had pets at home, teaching us early on that they truly are family.

We are currently settling down in Townsville, looking to stay long-term, with flexible availability to fit your needs. Franco works in the coffee industry, and Pilar is looking for opportunities in a bakery, which means at least one of us is usually home or we can easily manage our schedules so pets are rarely left alone for long periods (typically no more than 3 to 4 hours at a time).

When it comes to our daily routine, we strictly follow each pet’s usual habits, including structured feeding times, daily exercise, playtime, and plenty of affection. We are comfortable adapting to different pet personalities—whether high-energy dogs that need active play or shy, senior pets that just want a quiet companion, such as when we cared for an elderly rescue dog in Barcelona who required a slow-paced routine and a lot of gentle reassurance. We are also fully capable of administering oral medication if needed.

Regarding safety and emergencies, we are extremely careful in the owner’s home—we always ensure doors, gates, and windows are securely locked, keep toxic foods or hazards out of reach, and follow strict leash protocols on walks. In the rare event of an unexpected situation or medical emergency, our first step is always to contact the owner immediately while keeping a calm head, and if necessary, promptly take the pet to their preferred local veterinarian.

Your peace of mind is our priority, so we maintain constant communication with daily photo and video updates. We love spending quiet time at home cooking delicious meals, but we are equally passionate about the outdoors and caring for plants. Whether your pets need energetic play or calm companionship, we treat every single one with the love, care, and responsibility they deserve.
