Hi, my name is Ruby. I’ve been living in Australia for the past 18 months and have grown up around dogs my whole life, including having a family dog from a young age. Dogs have always been a big part of my world, and caring for them comes very naturally to me. I’m confident with training basics and understanding different personalities, and I genuinely love spending time with them.

I’ve walked dogs in my local area, including my own, and completed several house-sitting assignments. I’ve cared for energetic, playful dogs who love long adventures, as well as older or more anxious dogs who just need a calm presence and a little extra patience. When I meet a new dog, I always let them come to me in their own time so they feel comfortable and safe from the start.

Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are my top priorities. On walks, I’m very aware of our surroundings and will adjust routes if needed, especially if a dog is nervous or reactive. I always double-check leads and harnesses before heading out and tailor each walk to suit your dog’s energy levels — whether that’s a beach run, park stroll, or a slower sniff-filled walk. I’m also mindful of hot weather and make sure dogs stay hydrated and comfortable.

For home visits or overnight stays, I stick closely to your dog’s usual routine so they feel settled while you’re away. I can help with feeding, fresh water, playtime, reinforcing training, and administering simple medication if needed. I know how important it is to feel reassured while you’re away, so I’m always happy to send regular updates and photos.

I’m lucky to live close to parks, beaches, and great walking routes, so your dog will get plenty of fresh air and exercise. I work casually, which gives me flexible availability to fit around different schedules. I’m reliable, caring, and will always treat your dog as if they were my own.
