I am a 3rd year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) student from the Maldives with a deep passion for animal health, behaviour, welfare, and compassionate care. Pet sitting is something I genuinely love doing, as it allows me to support both pets and their owners by providing attentive, knowledgeable care in the comfort of the pet’s own familiar environment.

Before beginning my veterinary studies, I worked in a veterinary hospital in the Maldives, where I gained hands-on experience caring for a wide range of animals. I also have experience running my own bird breeding and poultry farm, which has strengthened my skills in animal handling, husbandry, observation, and routine care.

Alongside this, I run Feline Welfare Organisation in the Maldives, an NGO with our own shelter, and I also volunteer with different animal shelters in my free time. These experiences have given me a deeper understanding of animal welfare, rescue care, patience, and the importance of building trust with animals from different backgrounds.

I am Fear Free certified for both small animals and avian patients, with training in reducing fear, anxiety, and stress during animal care and handling. This is especially valuable for pets who may be nervous, shy, reactive, elderly, sensitive, or unsettled when their routine changes.

As part of my veterinary training, I am also developing knowledge in animal behaviour, behavioural therapy, and psychology. This helps me better understand how pets communicate stress, fear, excitement, discomfort, or illness. I understand how important routine, gentle handling, reassurance, and a calm environment are, especially when pets are separated from their owners.

I aim to provide care that is reliable, thoughtful, observant, and compassionate. Whether your pet needs feeding, walking, medication support, companionship, or simply a calm and caring presence, I will treat them with the same respect and kindness I would want for my own animals.

For health and safety reasons, I work exclusively with vaccinated pets.

A little fun fact about me: I am also a swimming instructor for children and adults, and I hold a PADI Rescue Diver certification.
