Hi there! My name is Micala and I usually work full time (7.5 hours/day) as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Rockhampton, anywhere between 7am - 5pm. As part of my work, a National Police Check has been completed. At present, I'm currently taking a break from working as OT but intend to be back in the workforce over the coming weeks. I have been involved in house and pet sitting, on and off for over 8 years in Rockhampton, Brisbane, Logan and Gold Coast regions, where I have looked after singular and paired dogs of different ages and sizes (Photos 4 to 7), as well as cats. I have also fostered two smaller, male dogs through the Animal Welfare League (Photos 10 and 11). When booking me in to stay at your home with your pet/s, I will ensure I remain home with your pet for majority of the day on weekends and as much as I can during the work week. Please also feel free to let me know if you require me to do anything else to maintain the household (i.e. watering plants, bringing in mail, taking out bins) as I am able to complete for you. I play netball on Tuesday and Thursday nights (times variable), so would be home ASAP to be with your pet after I’m finished. If your pet requires medications, I am more than happy to administer these and record for you however you will need to provide me with specific written instructions when I look after them and/or provide me with a demonstration upon our meet and greet. With regard to dog walking, you can let me know how long your dog requires to be walked for - running is also an option un if that’s what your dog needs, as I could definitely use the fitness as well! For dog boarding services, it is preferred that your dog is primarily suited to indoors. Whilst I do have a small yard, this is unfenced so your pet will need to be on a lead and supervised for toilet breaks and outdoor times. As my current lifestyle doesn’t allow for me to have a dog full time and having grown up with my own dog Molly (Photo 9), I thoroughly enjoy spending time with and taking care of dogs in need or others' animals, including those of close friends (see Photos 1, 2, 3 and 8). I look forward to hearing from you! 😊
