I’m Mell, an intuitive, dependable pet sitter and walker who genuinely treats every pet like family. Caring for animals comes naturally to me, and it’s something I truly love. 💖

I have a lot of experience with pets and their care as I was raised in a home full of animals and have always maintained a connection to animals.

My beautiful animals of the past include a Maltese terrier named Sasha, a Staffordshire named Chazzie, a Rottweiler German Shephard cross called Gigi and a Foxy Chihuahua cross named Jessie.

I have also had many cats including a tabby named Snooks, a tortoiseshell named Oskar and a ragdoll named Princess. Also had a cockatiel called Chuifi and a Holland Lop rabbit named Bella.

I am accustomed to caring for all types of animals - big and small - including farm and exotic animals so there aren't many situations I can't handle!

I have a calm, intuitive way with animals and naturally tune into their individual needs, energy and comfort levels. Whether your pet is confident, shy, nervous or a little anxious, I’ll take the time to help them feel safe, comfortable and cared for.

I always respect your pet’s boundaries and understand that it can take time for them to feel comfortable with a new person. I never force interaction or push beyond what their body language is telling me.

Home visits can include:

🍲 Feeding, fresh water & medication

🧹 Cleaning litter trays and pet areas

🐾 Playtime and companionship at your pet’s pace

📬 Bringing in mail and putting out bins

🌱 Watering plants

🚗 Vet transport if needed, with your permission

Visits are generally *20-30 minutes*, depending on your location and your pet’s needs. If your pet would benefit from a longer visit, I’m happy to discuss this with you.

For longer trips, I’m also happy to help with those little things that give you peace of mind while you’re away. If you’re gone for more than a week, I can bring in mail, put out bins, water plants and keep an eye on things around the home.

🐕 Pet Walking

🐱 Cats are welcome to walk on a lead too! I also have my own pet stroller for dogs and cats that prefer the safety of the stroller or have trouble walking but still want to get out there!

I’m naturally very empathetic towards animals, and I’ll care for your fur babies as though they are my own. My goal is for you to be able to relax while you’re away, knowing your pets are safe, happy, comfortable and receiving plenty of love and attention.

Your pet will be treated as part of the family while they are staying with me. I provide a safe, calm and comfortable home environment with plenty of attention, affection, playtime and companionship.

Supervision: I work hard to make sure pets are well supervised and cared for throughout their stay. I’m attentive to their behaviour, comfort and individual needs, and I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing they’re doing well.

Routine: I like to maintain your pet’s usual routine as much as possible, including feeding times, walks, play, rest and bedtime. I’ll follow your instructions regarding their normal habits and preferences so their stay feels as familiar and stress- free as possible.

Capacity: I only accept a small number of pets at a time so that every animal receives plenty of individual attention and care. I will always consider temperament, compatibility and the needs of the pets already staying with me before accepting a booking.

Sleepovers: Pets sleep safely and comfortably inside the home and are not left outside overnight. I’m happy to discuss your pet’s usual sleeping arrangements and accommodate them where practical.

Medication: I can administer straightforward oral medications, provided clear instructions are supplied. I’m also happy to discuss other medication requirements in advance including injections if necessary.
