About Morgan

Hi, I’m Morgan! After spending the last six months living and working in the beautiful Kimberley, I’m now returning to Brisbane to start a new role as an Events and Conference Coordinator at a hotel. I previously lived in Brisbane for six years, so I’m incredibly excited to be coming back to a city I love.

I absolutely adore dogs and have grown up with them my entire life. My own two dogs currently live with my parents, and I miss them immensely, so looking after other people’s furry family members is something I genuinely love doing. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to leave your best friend behind when you go away, and I want to make that experience as easy and stress-free as possible for both you and your pet.

For me, dogs are so much more than pets — they’re family. They’ve taught me a lot about unconditional love, patience and being non-judgemental, and I truly believe there’s no substitute for the companionship and happiness an animal can bring into your life. I love getting to know each dog’s individual personality, whether they’re energetic and adventurous, a little anxious and needing extra reassurance, or perfectly content to curl up beside me.

Over the years I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs — big, small, young, senior, independent and very needy! During my six months in the Kimberley, my work primarily involved doggy daycare, including walking and caring for dogs while their owners went hiking. I’ve also had plenty of experience walking multiple dogs, caring for pets with specific routines and administering medication when required.

I’m an active person who loves getting outdoors and hiking, and I love taking my own dogs on adventures. With your permission, I’d be very happy to give your dog the same opportunity for walks, adventures and enrichment — while always following whatever routine and boundaries you’re comfortable with.

Most importantly, I treat every animal I care for as though they were my own. I’m attentive to their behaviour, needs and routines, and I’m very happy to adjust my routine to make sure they’re happy and comfortable.

Housesitting;

I’m happy to stay in your home with your pets for extended periods, including several weeks. I’ll keep your pets company, follow their usual routines, provide meals and fresh water, take them for walks, play with them, administer medication where required and, most importantly, give them plenty of love and attention.

Outside of my own work commitments and roster, your pet is my top priority. I aim to spend as much time with them as possible and avoid leaving them alone for extended periods.

I’m also happy to take care of small household tasks such as watering plants, putting bins out and bringing them in, collecting mail and keeping the home tidy.

I’m very respectful of other people’s homes and will always lock doors, activate alarms where applicable and make sure everything is secure when I leave. I’ll also leave your home as clean and tidy as I found it — ideally even cleaner!

Home Visits;

For home visits, I’m able to spend a few hours with your pets depending on my work roster. Visits can include feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, companionship, toilet breaks and medication. I’m also happy to take care of small household tasks while I’m there.

I understand that some pets simply prefer staying in their own home, and I’m more than happy to provide that familiar environment and give them company while you’re away.

Dog Walking;

I’m happy to take dogs for walks around the neighbourhood or, with your approval, to a nearby dog park or on a longer adventure. I have experience walking multiple dogs for several hours at a time, although for safety and to ensure each dog receives plenty of attention, I only walk a maximum of two dogs at once.

I primarily care for dogs and have experience with dogs of all sizes, ages and personalities. I’m comfortable with senior dogs, energetic dogs, dogs who need medication, and dogs who require a little extra attention or a change to their usual routine.

I understand that every dog is different, and I’m very willing to adapt my routine to suit their individual needs. Whether your dog needs lots of exercise and stimulation or simply wants someone around to keep them company, I’m happy to work with their personality and routine. I’m always happy to have a conversation about your pet before booking so we can make sure I’m the right person for them.

Availability;

I currently work part-time as an Events and Conference Coordinator at a hotel, so I have a rotating roster and mixed availability. I’ll have several days off each week, but the exact days vary. I’m happy to discuss my roster and availability with you before confirming a booking.

I also have my own reliable car, so I’m able to travel to your home and, with your approval, take your dog to nearby parks, walking tracks or other suitable locations.

For home visits, I’m able to dedicate a few hours to your pets around my work commitments and will always be upfront about when I need to be away for work.

All I ask from you is that you leave me clear and detailed instructions about your pet and their routine, and that you remain contactable by text or phone throughout the booking. I want to make sure I’m caring for your pet exactly as you would, and being able to quickly reach you if I have a question or concern gives everyone peace of mind.

I also have plenty of references available upon request and am more than happy to provide these to give you additional peace of mind before booking.
