Hi, I’m Charèl! After more than seven years of house and pet sitting around Australia and the world, my partner and I have now settled in Sydney — and one of the things I already miss most about travelling is all the dogs we’ve had the chance to look after along the way.

Over the years, we’ve cared for dogs of many different breeds, sizes, ages and personalities through TrustedHousesitters and Aussie House Sitters, from short stays to sits lasting five weeks or longer. We’ve received 50+ five-star reviews from pet owners who trusted us with both their pets and their homes.

I run my own design business and work remotely, which gives me a lot of flexibility. This means I can often spend much more time with your pet than simply popping in between other commitments. For suitable bookings, I can work from your home during the day, keep your dog company, take them for walks and fit feeding and care around their normal routine.

I’m experienced with different exercise needs and care routines, and I’m comfortable administering tablets, liquid medication, topical medication and inhaled/asthma medication.

I love long walks, coastal walks and dog-friendly beaches, and I’m also a runner. For active dogs who are already comfortable running on lead, I’m happy to include a run in their exercise routine by arrangement. I’ll always adapt the pace, distance and type of exercise to the individual dog.

Now that Sydney is home, I’d love to have some regular four-legged friends in my life again. I’m particularly interested in dog walking, home visits and extended daytime care for dogs who enjoy having someone around.

I’m active, reliable and very used to adapting to each dog’s individual personality. I know how much trust is involved in leaving someone with your pet and your home, so communication is really important to me. You can expect regular updates, plenty of photos and, most importantly, a pet who gets lots of attention, affection and care.
