Hi, my name is Alex and I am from Ireland, I've recently moved to Melbourne and i am looking to find a way to earn some extra income as-well as spending some time with some puppers. I thought Pawshake was a good opportunity to make some extra money as well as getting to be around dogs as I have two back home that I miss a lot💖i have a golden retriever and a border collie which are two big dogs with big personalities so I feel like I am well experienced in looking after dogs as my two are a handful. I know how important is it to take your dog on long and engaging walks to fully enrich them and tire them out. My boarder collie is quite a nervous dog so I find quiet areas where they can play and sniff are where I prefer to walk. I will provide hour long and interactive walks with however many updates you will require. I know how important dogs are to people, and how much you want to know they are being looked after someone who really cares, which I do. Growing up with dogs I have been in many situations where dogs may try to attack my dogs, if my dog has injured themselves while being out, or if they are dehydrated and I know how to handle each situation safely and efficiently. I know every dog is different and I will have a conversation with all the pet owners to understand the dogs more and make sure both the owner and pet are comfortable with our walk routes. All dogs require different care, that may look like taking certain dogs to quiet areas if they are anxious, reactive dogs, such as my border collie require a tight lease to avoid any problems. On the other hand you have more social dogs who I will bring to dog parks to socialise and play with other dogs. I will carry treats and water with me on every walk and the owner will have all my contact information, which they can use any time they need to. I will begin with only 1 dog on my walks until I understand each dog a bit better, once I feel comfortable I will take up to 3 dogs per walk.My main availability will be weekends but could potentially do week nights if needed. I will only be providing a dog walking service as my apartment is too small to dog watch unfortunately. I will also only be taking on fully vaccinated dogs.
