I’m a genuine dog lover who’s happiest when I’m around animals. I grew up with dogs back home in Ireland, so I’ve always been used to having them around every day, and I really miss that here in Melbourne. My partner and I regularly spend time with her family dog, and we absolutely love it. Since we can’t have pets in our apartment, I joined Pawshake to spend more time with dogs while also helping owners by providing someone reliable and caring they can trust.

I’m calm, dependable, and genuinely enjoy building a connection with each dog. I’m the type of person who will always stop to say hello to dogs when I’m out, and I treat every dog like they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy whether we’re out on a walk or just spending time together. I’m available most evenings after work, as well as weekends, and I work from home on Mondays and Wednesdays which allows me to do lunchtime walks. I’m happy to do both short and long walks, and also trips to the dog park depending on what your dog enjoys.

I understand that every dog is different, so I always take the time to meet your dog first and get a feel for their personality and behaviour. I like to chat with owners in detail to understand their routine, what they like and don’t like, and how best to handle different situations. I’m confident handling a range of behaviours, including more anxious or reactive dogs, and I stay calm, patient, and in control to ensure they feel safe and secure. I’m also comfortable administering medications if needed, as long as clear instructions are provided.

Communication is really important to me, so I make sure to keep owners updated with messages, photos, and updates during and after walks or visits. That way you always know how your dog is going and can feel completely at ease.
