❌ NEW SERVICE - Cat Stays ❌
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Profile 💖 I’m Lauren, I’m in my 30’s, I have a lot of animal care experience and like most pet owners, I LOVE ANIMALS!! I have a current Police Check, have successfully completed the RSPCA Pet Sitters Course and I have recently completed hands on practical Dog First Aid and CPR Training with Dog First Aid Australia and obtained a Certificate. I always carry an animal First Aid kit in my car for emergencies.
I provide pet care in your home, dog boarding in my home, dog walking and daytime dog care. My husband Jay and I are a team (he is also Dog First Aid and CPR certified) and although he has a full time job he has the same love for animals so sometimes accompanies me on walks etc.
I have experience with 2kg chihuahuas and 60kg Great Dane and everything In between. Very friendly to not so friendly cats. Finches to Macaws and some very pretty fish!
I can check in on your pets while you are either on holidays or just at work. Give them 30 minutes of playtime and company or if weather permitting we’ll go for a walk. Water bowls are filled up and your pets are fed if feeding is required.
Pet Sitting is what I enjoy, it is my career and I take it very seriously which is why I invest in my education. I am not committed to other obligations so you can rest assured I will be at every booked visit. It is my honour to be selected as a care giver for your furry and feathery family members.
FULL DETAILS OF SERVICES BELOW ARE:
SERVICE A - Dog Boarding
SERVICE B - Daytime Doggy Care
SERVICE C - Daily Home Visits ~ Dogs, Cats, Birds etc
SERVICE D - Dog Walking
SERVICE E - House Sitting (New Service!!) - Day time hours only
SERVICE A: SMALL DOG BOARDING - SHORT & LONG STAYS
I specialise in toy and small dog boarding. Medium dogs will be considered case by case.
Dogs MUST be up to date with vaccinations and worming and proof is required as this is for their health and ours. All vaccines must be up to date a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to boarding. Dogs must be desexed, free of fleas and MUST be friendly towards people and other dogs. Although I do have segregated areas, unfortunately I cannot accomodate aggressive dogs. If your dog becomes aggressive during their stay or barks excessively you may be asked to make arrangements to collect them. Whilst we normally only take one family’s pets at any one time, there are occasions such as during peak periods that we may accept more than one dog. Your doggie will still receive lots of love and attention from my family and be taken on walks (weather permitting) through the parks and walking tracks near us. We provide a loving home environment where your doggie will live as part of our family and enjoy all the comforts of a home while away. There are no kennels or cages involved (unless of course you request crating which we are more than happy to do). You will receive daily updates and lots of pics of your furry family members vacation. Our yard is fully fenced and secure and usually someone is always home. If we are out we are never out for very long. Our home is also smoke and flea free.
WHAT TO BRING: It is always best if their own bedding is provided and favourite toys and to eliminate any tummy upsets we ask that you provide their usual food and any treats you would like them to have.
SLEEPING AREA: Toy and small breeds will have an inside secure sleeping area. They will have the entire main bathroom to themselves overnight where we can set up their bedding, water bowl, toys and puppy mats if needed for any overnight accidents that occur while they settle in to their new surrounds. Toy and small breeds will be brought inside into their secure sleeping area when we go out. Dogs are not allowed to freely roam the house if no one is home to supervise. Medium size dogs will be considered case by case. All guest doggies will have access to a large undercover entertainment area and their own yard. Medium doggies that are ok to sleep outside during the night are preferred however we do make allowances so please contact me to discuss. Inside doggies MUST be house trained.
OUTSIDE AREA: Your dog will have their own yard and large undercover entertainment area. This area is covered by ‘Doggy Cam’ so we can always keep an eye on your pets!
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Tick treatments are definitely something to consider prior to boarding.
INTERACTION: Due to the very small size of some dogs (small chihuahua, toy poodles etc) and for their safety we usually do not let any bigger size doggies (Cavalier, Maltese etc) and toy breed dogs interact. We have separate secured fenced outside yards and separate secure inside sleeping areas.
SUPERVISED PLAY: We limit intake to 2 families at one time. Guest dogs MUST be dog friendly and current with vaccinations, worming, flea & tick treatment for this reason. Doggies that are similar in weight, play style and age will have supervised playtime together. In case personalities don’t jibe we are able to separate into individual secure yards.
SOME TERMS & CONDITIONS - We strongly encourage you to read our full list of T&C’s which can be provided to you upon request. Please note that by booking my dog boarding service & day time dog care service you agree to the full terms and conditions.
It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with the terms and conditions. I try to cover as much as possible during the meet and greet but I may miss one for two points, so please make sure you have also read through them.
• Whilst we normally only take one family’s pets at any one time, there are occasions such as during peak periods that we may accept more than one dog, you agree that this is acceptable to yourself. Please contact us in writing if you wish your pet to be the only dog guest along with our own pets.
•You understand that the concept of dog daycare, group play, and overnight boarding is to allow dogs to socially interact with both humans and dogs. Dogs in supervised group play will romp, run, play, canoodle and sleep at their leisure. You acknowledge that there is always a possibility of injury resulting from rough play or fights between dogs. You understand that day care participation in playtime is at our sole discretion and that pet/s may be separated from other pet/s or asked to leave for any reason is also our sole discretion. You agree that your dog will socialise with other dogs and you accept the risks involved and agree that we are not liable for any illnesses or injuries resulting during your dog’s attendance.
• You agree that if your dog attacks, or is involved in a fight with, another dog (and/or person) causing injury to that dog (and /or person), you will be responsible for any losses incurred as a result including, but not limited to, payment of veterinary fees in respect of injuries to another animal caused by your dog.
• You will be responsible for any veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred whilst the pets are in our care.
•We are very considerate of our neighbours and we are therefore unable to accommodate dogs the excessively bark, howl or cry. Alternative arrangements may need to be made by you should your dog start to show symptoms of separation anxiety. Of course we do everything possible to make their stay with us as comfortable and as close to their normal home routine as possible.
•Dogs that are fully house trained will have access to our downstairs lounge room. We understand accidents happen and while we are happy to clean up any messes, doggies that continue to toilet inside will be moved to the secure outside dog area.
•Dogs who have access to the house will not be allowed to free roam if no one is home to supervise. They will either go outside in the secure outside dog area or be set up with their bed, water bowl, toys etc in our main bathroom.
•Dogs will not be allowed to sleep with us. They will either sleep outside if that is their normal routine or be set up with their bed, water bowl, toys etc in our main bathroom.
•No fence system is 100% secure and while we routinely check fences and perimeters any doggies that continue to try and escape the premises will need to find alternative arrangements. This is for their own safety. Entire male dogs are more likely to want to escape especially if there is a female on heat in the area. We go to great lengths to ensure the security of our yard making it as escape proof as possible however we take no responsibility for dogs that dig under, climb over or break through our fences.
•We do not under any circumstances accommodate aggressive dogs. If you misrepresent your dogs history of aggression you place us at substantial risk of injury. Service may be terminated due to safety concerns should any dog become aggressive during their stay.
•All doggies must be current on vaccinations (C5), worming, flea & tick treatments. Proof will be required.
•All arrivals are expected to come into my care in a clean state, free of fleas is a must and nails trimmed. This is particularly important for inside pets.
•Home boarding is calculated per 24 hour block i.e. if you check in at 10am then checkout is no later than 10am on day of departure. I allow a 1 hour grace period for unexpected traffic etc, pickup later then the 1 hour grace period attracts either a day care free or another nights boarding fee depending on pick up time.
•While we prefer males to be desexed we do accept entire males on occasions. Unfortunately we DO NOT accept entire females.
•As I also provide a Home Visit service, dogs must be able to be left alone for periods throughout the day. We have cameras in our guest dog area to monitor them. Any dog that continues to bark, howl, cry or attempts to escape while we are out will need to find alternative arrangements. Toy breeds will be set up with their bed, water and toys in our main bathroom while we are absent. Small breeds are permitted to stay outside if that is their normal routine. Arrangements for Large breeds are case by case.
•Supervised Group Play is subject to availability.
•From November 1st the cancellation policy will be strictly enforced.
•Prices are likely to change by the end of 2019. To lock in the current rate and to save disappointment as spots fill up quickly it is recommend to book early.
SERVICE B: Daytime Dog Care - small dogs only. Drop off between 6.30am - 8am and pick up no later then 6pm.
Doggie day care is only available on certain days.
Please contact me for further information regarding this service.
Please note that the same T&C’s that apply to Home Dog Boarding (listed above under SERVICE A - Small Dog Boarding) also apply to Doggy Day Care. To save duplication and space I have not duplicated them again. Please scroll up a bit to read the t&c’s or feel free to request a copy via email. Again is it your responsibility to make yourself familiar with the Terms & Conditions as I cannot cover everything during the meet and greet.

•Crating at night if requested.
•Advising of any changes in behaviour (ie. not eating, sudden diarrhea etc).

•Happy to discuss any additional requirements. Please note that I am unable to accomodate overnight house sitting requests.
•Your pets and their care are my priority and you may be wondering if something was to happen to me who will attend to your pets. My husband is my emergency backup. He has access to intake forms on request and is briefed on every booking just in case. Should something happen to me that prevents me from visiting your pets or I experience an unexpected emergency and a replacement sitter cannot be sourced, my husband Jay will notify you as soon as possible and attend to your pets needs. He is also Dog First Aid and CPR trained and loves this business as much as I do. If you have any questions about this please feel free to discuss them with me at the meet and greet. If you would like to meet him he often accompanies me to meet and greet’s but waits in the car (this is more so for my personal safety) but please let me know if you would also like for him to attend.
SERVICE D - DOG WALKING (This service is temporarily unavailable. My apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.)
Dog walking only also available. Dog walking will be done in the late PM during the summer months as I have a No-Paws-On-The-Pavement policy that applies during the day. Dog walking only includes a 25 minute walk and filling up of water bowls on return. Some walks may go overtime but this will be at my discretion. My current dog walking rate is for a 25 minute walk. Longer walks will be quoted accordingly. If your doggie requires a longer walk please let me know and I will advise of rate. This will be a custom rate and will need to be set prior to booking

INFORMATION LAST UPDATED: 01/11/2019
Lauren was amazing with Holly and great to work with! Came to the rescue after last minute changes with my situation. Having photos of holly nice and happy on her walk was great too. Will definitely be asking her again when I need another dog sitter.
What can I say !! Lauren is just amazing, professional, friendly, caring - I can’t speak more highly of the service I received. My 14 year old dog had a bad episode and I was so very worried to leave her but Lauren made all my fears go away with so much communication and plenty of pictures. I would absolutely have no hesitations in recommending Lauren to look after your animals.
