I've grown up with dogs and cats my whole life, so caring for animals isn't something I'm learning from scratch - it's second nature for me. I know the small things that matter: reading a nervous dog's body language, knowing a cat's routine shouldn't be disrupted, and making sure every animal feels safe even when their owner isn't around. I've cared for pets with all kinds of personalities over the years - anxious dogs who need a slow, calm approach, cats who take time to warm up to new people, and older pets with slower routines and extra needs. While I'm new to pet sitting professionally, that lifetime of hands-on experience with pets of my own means I'm ready to show up for you and your pets. 

Here's what I offer, all provided at your home so your pet stays in their own comfortable environment:

• Drop in visits (30-60mins): feeding, fresh water, a bathroom break, playtime, and a check that everything at home is as it should be
• Dog walking: a solo walk tailored to your dog's energy level and pace, fresh water and a quick tidy up afterwards
• Overnight house sitting: I arrive in the evening and stay through the morning. A typical sit includes an evening feed and walk, settling in for the night with your pet close by, a morning feed (if that's what happens in your household) and walk, and tidying up before I head out or stay depending on the requirements of the sit. Pets are never left alone for more than 4-6 hours, but if you specify that you don't want me to leave, then I won't :). During a sit, I always work around their existing schedule rather than mine.

I'd like to care for dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments, including nervous or older pets who need a little extra patience. I'm comfortable managing multiple pets in the same household - feeding times, walks, and attention are all given individually, so no one gets overlooked. I'm not professionally trained for pets requiring specialised medical care, but if they need tablets or medication put in their food, I'm able to do that. 

You'll always know how your pet is doing - I send a photo or text updates every visit, walk, or check-in, so you're never left wondering. If something unexpected comes up - a pet acting unwell, an escape (heaven forbid), a lock or key issue, anything outside of the routine - I stay calm, assess the situation, and contact you straight away. If an emergency comes up, I'll contact you immediately and take your pet to your regular vet (or the nearest emergency vet if needed), keeping you updated every step of the way.

I do work part-time, but I'm able to take time off to care for your pets at any time of day.

Your pet's comfort and safety will always come first with me - I treat every home and every animal as if they were my own.
