Hi, I’m Sandra! I’ve loved dogs and cats all my life, and tiny dogs have a special place in my heart. I recently lost my own dog and can’t have one at the moment, so looking after someone else’s little companion for short stays is the perfect way for me to share my home and my love of animals. I know how hard it is to leave a family member behind, so I treat every guest the way I’d want my own dog to be treated: with patience, cuddles and a lot of attention. What I offer Short stays at my home: Your dog lives indoors with me as part of the household, never in a kennel. I’m happy to take short bookings of a few days. Three walks a day: Your dog gets a walk in the morning, at midday and in the evening, each around [20-30 minutes], adapted to their size and energy. Walks usually take place at Fawkner Park. Never left alone: I’m at home every day, so your dog always has company and is never left on their own. Daily updates: I’ll send photos and a short message each day so you know how your dog is doing. Your routine, followed closely: Tell me about feeding times, habits and any needs, and I’ll stick to them. Your dog will have their own bed to sleep in, and you’re welcome to bring their favourite blanket or toys. Medication: I’m comfortable giving oral medication and will follow your instructions carefully. Coat care: I’m happy to give a gentle daily brush if your dog’s coat needs it. Who is a good fit I specialise in tiny dogs. Maltese, Maltese crosses, Shih Tzus, Pomeranians and Chihuahuas are my favourites, though I’m happy to welcome other very small breeds too. My ideal guest is calm and well behaved, clean and house-trained, doesn’t bark much, loves company, and is comfortable sleeping in their own bed. Because my home is quiet and peaceful, I’m not the right fit for large dogs, dogs that bark a lot, or dogs that aren’t toilet trained. About my home and availability I live in an apartment and I’m home every day, so your dog will have my company throughout the stay. It’s a non-smoking home with no other pets. I’m happy to arrange a meet-and-greet before the first stay so we can all feel comfortable, and I ask that dogs are up to date with vaccinations and flea and tick treatment.
