Hi, I’m Tahnaeya! New to Pawshake but not to Pets! Animals have always been a part of my life, and my passion for caring for them began with the many pets I grew up with. most of whom came from difficult beginnings. They taught me compassion, patience, and the importance of giving every animal the best care possible.

With over 15 years of hands on experience in the animal industry, I’ve had the privilege of working across many different areas of pet care. I started out volunteering at animal shelters and wildlife rescues (where I am a committee member and continue to support animal welfare and rehabilitation.) I then spent two years at a boarding kennel and cattery where I gained invaluable knowledge about animal behaviour. From there, I went on to become a professional dog groomer for 7 years at a corprate store and even ran a puppy school to help new pet parents set their pups up for success. More recently, I worked as a veterinary receptionist, giving me further insight into animal health and wellbeing.

I’m currently still grooming dogs and cats while filling in at the vet when needed in Keysborough, while also offering dog walking and once or twice daily home visits. As I have special needs pets at home, I don’t offer overnight stays or boarding, this way I can give your pets my full attention when I’m with them. I’m fully vaccinated and hold a certification in puppy training, so you can feel confident they’re in safe, knowledgeable hands.

When looking after your pets, I treat them as if they were my own. Whether it’s a fun walk to burn off energy, a cuddle and feeding visit, or simply keeping them company while you’re away, I tailor my care to their unique personality and needs. And of course, I’ll keep you updated with plenty of photos and little stories so you never feel far from your furry family.

Outside of animal care, I love crafting, being outdoors, and spending time with my Husband, Two Sons, and our own pets. 🐾
