Hi! I’m Katherine 👋

I’m a lifelong animal lover and genuinely happiest when I have a furry friend around! I’ve had both cats and a dog of my own over the years, and I also have experience pet sitting for friends and other pet owners outside of Mad Paws.

I currently share my home with my beautiful 14-year-old Tuxedo cat, who has a very special personality! He’s extremely affectionate and loving with me, but he’s also an anxious boy who is frightened of unfamiliar people. Living with him has taught me a lot about patience, understanding animal behaviour, respecting boundaries and allowing pets to feel comfortable in their own time. I understand that every animal has their own personality - some want endless cuddles and attention, while others need a little more space, patience and reassurance.

A little about me: I works as a PT and Remedial Massage Therapist. I’m an active, energetic and caring person who loves keeping fit, spending time outdoors, going to the beach and enjoying walks. At the same time, I’m equally happy spending quiet time at home.

I’m responsible, reliable and very attentive, and I know how important it is to trust the person looking after your pet. I’ll treat your animals with the same care, patience and love that I give my own. 

I am available to stay the night, or for short visits during the day. I can dog walk and I'm happy to be there day and night on the weekends. On the weekdays, it depends on the day and my availability and also how much notice I'm given. Happy to do pretty much anything within reason :)

Whether your pet is energetic and playful, a complete cuddle bug, independent, elderly, shy or a little anxious, I’d love the opportunity to get to know them and make sure they feel happy, safe and loved while you’re away 😊
