Hi! I’m Joe, and I moved from the UK to Australia in January. Ever since I was a kid, I was always asking, “Mum, when can we get a dog?” I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life—especially gun dogs through my grandparents—as well as pets from family and friends, so I’m confident with both small and large breeds.

When my family finally got our own dog, I took a real interest in training and daily care. I always offered to walk friends and family's dogs and look after them when they were away on holiday. I enjoyed putting those skills into practice by helping build a consistent routine and positive behaviour. I’m comfortable managing energetic dogs and will always make sure they get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation through walks, play, and basic training reinforcement. If a dog is a bit nervous or reactive, I stay calm, patient, and give them space and reassurance so they can settle at their own pace.

A typical walk or visit with me is relaxed but structured—plenty of sniffing time, exercise suited to their energy level, and always lots of attention and care. I treat every dog like they’re my own and aim to keep their routine as consistent as possible while you’re away, with walks ranging from 15 mins to an hour depending on their age and energy! Ensuring they are kept on lead, and only interact with other dogs if they feel comfortable, and the other dogs are friendly and well behaved. I'll always make sure to use the first few times meeting the dog to gauge their temperamen, and will adjust their walks accordingly eg, taking them to busy parks or quieter paths, as well as letting them play with other dogs or making owners aware they prefer not to.

I will always go through what owners would be comfortable for me to do in case of an emergency and will follow those steps should anything serious arise. In this I will always maintain constant communication so that you are fully aware of what is happening, to make sure you are comfortable.

Since moving away from home, I really miss being around animals, which is why I’m so keen to do pet sitting here. I genuinely enjoy their company and love spending time walking, playing, or just keeping them company.

I’m available in weekdays all day as well as the weekend. I can be flexible with walks, drop-in visits, and overnight stays. I’m also comfortable giving medication if needed, and I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos so you know how your pet is going. For safety and peace of mind, I only accept fully vaccinated pets into my home.
