Hi! I’m Jane, a pet sitter based in Melbourne offering home boarding and doggy day care for small dogs. I work full-time from home, which means your dog will have plenty of company throughout the day and won’t be left alone for long periods.

I share my home with my friendly and playful two-year-old female Italian Greyhound, so I’m very familiar with the needs and personalities of small dogs. I understand that every dog has their own routine, personality and comfort level, and I always do my best to make them feel safe, relaxed and at home.

During their stay, I can follow your dog’s normal feeding schedule, provide fresh water throughout the day, regular toilet breaks, playtime, cuddles and daily walks according to their usual routine and energy level. A typical walk is around 30–45 minutes around my local neighbourhood and nearby walking areas, but I’m happy to adjust this depending on your dog’s age, fitness level and usual routine.

Dogs are welcome to relax and sleep comfortably inside the home, and I’m happy to follow any particular sleeping arrangements or routines they are used to. As I work from home, dogs are generally with me throughout the day. If I do need to go out, I keep this to a minimum and would normally not leave a guest dog alone for more than around 0.5 hours.

My home is kept secure and dog-friendly, with doors and access points kept safely closed and supervised outdoor access. I always take care when entering or leaving the house to make sure dogs cannot slip outside.

I prefer caring for only a small number of dogs at a time so that each dog gets plenty of individual attention. For everyone’s comfort and safety, I’m best suited to small, friendly dogs who are comfortable being around another small dog.

I’ll also send regular photo and message updates during their stay, so you can see how they’re settling in and enjoying their time with us.

My goal is to give your dog a calm, loving home-away-from-home where they are treated like part of the family. I’d be very happy to arrange a meet-and-greet before booking so you and your dog can get comfortable with me and my home.
