Hello! My name is Ashleigh and I am a 33 year old single female, wanting to housesit and pet sit as I am moving out of my share house. I work full time as an Assistant Director in Childcare, located in Ringwood and have had experience housesitting, pet sitting and dog walking. I will treat your home as if it were my own, ensuring I keep it clean and tidy, take bins out (and bring them back in!), collect your mail and maintain the garden through watering & mowing. I am also happy to do things such as pool maintenance while you’re away, as long as you are happy to show me how. I am able to take your dogs on daily walks of up to an hour in length and will walk them around the local area so their surroundings remain familiar to them. I recently lost both of my dogs only 6 weeks apart and since then have been missing the companionship of pets at home. Throughout my dogs lives I gained experience in many more complex areas of pet ownership and would be comfortable and more than happy to use these skills to ensure your fur babies are well taken care of while you are away. Frankie ( 17, Maltese shitzhu) required twice weekly injections, which I provided for him at home. He had bad arthritis in his back legs which, towards the end, required me to assist him to stand to toilet some days and clean up any messes in the house due to not making it to the door. Pumpkin (15, Pomeranian shitzhu) required daily heart medication, anxiety medication which I administered as well as occasionally requiring stronger medication resulting in my administering multiple tablets daily. Due to her severe separation anxiety (and general anxiety) I worked with a behaviour therapist and implemented special routines to help reduce the anxiety and allow her to be alone in the house while remaining calm. Between my two beloved dogs and the dogs I walk, I am confident in looking after any dogs who have complex needs. I have also looked after a couple of cats requiring daily medication so am comfortable to do this as well. I also have experience caring for rabbits, guinea pigs, budgies, chickens and goldfish. I am looking for both long term and short term house/petsitting opportunities and am happy to answer any further questions you may have.
