I miss dogs so much right now! I just moved back from living in Canada for the last 8 years, where all my friends had dogs, but none of my family in Australia do. I moved to Melbourne to start a Master of Occupational Therapy Practice in February, am a private swim instructor for kids with disabilities, and am looking to find ways to stay active and outdoors while studying.

I grew up with a golden retriever from the age of 8 and a cat from birth, have fostered many dogs (from tiny to massive), and have nearly always had a dog and/or a cat in the house when I had housemates too. My ex and I had a large dog for 4.5 years (strong, pulling, anxious, reactive and cuddly pitpull), then I have been walking the dog who lived on my property for another 2 years almost every day (rhodesian ridgeback cross, easiest dog in the world) - both rescue dogs. I looked after my best friend's dogs often (tiny to medium), and would take all 4 dogs out on off leash walks and hikes in the mountains. I have cat sitted for my Dad and a couple of friends, and have dog sat for long and short periods of times when friends went away on holidays (from a few nights to 6 weeks), including pets with special diets, medications, injuries and asthma inhalers.

I am staying at my sister's place while I look for a rental, so will just be offering dog walking and services in your own home for now. I love animals more than people and have a kind, playful and gentle approach, but stern, calm and in control when I need to be. Not afraid of any dogs, I win over even the most hesitant dog much faster than others I have been told many times.
