I'm Nurul, I am a Canberra local who recently moved from Malaysia to study and be with my long-term (previously long distance) partner.

I have always had cats growing up - in fact I don't remember a time where there isn't at least 2 cats in my family home. Our cats are all adopted; and most find their way to us either via our friends who trust us enough to care for cats, or they're strays who found themselves in our home. Apart from cats, I used to also keep fish and hamsters as pets.

I don't have professional experience with pet care but I used to regularly feed stray (cats and dogs) and occasionally volunteer at animal shelters back in Malaysia and am confident in dealing with animals.

I love all animals and will find just about anything cute (snakes? adorable) and as an avid scuba diver my love for animals extends beyond those that live on land.

My partner and I have a female ginger cat named Cleaver (who we named after a character in his favourite tv show 'Rake'). We drove over 2 hours to adopt her in Nowra and we love how much joy she has brought to our home.

I attend university classes on campus but almost exclusively study from home. My classes this semester (Aug-Nov 2026) are only on Wednesdays and Thursdays and extends late into the evening, which explains why I can only manage one home visit on those days.

I am a kind and compassionate person, and I would look after your pets like my own. I am happy to feed them, clean their food and water bowl, clean the litter box, play with them, brush them and give them treats (only when you permit it, of course). I would also gladly send you photo and video updates to give you peace of mind.

I understand I am new, and I unfortunately do not have any references from past pet-sitting jobs, so I am open to meet up with you (with or without your pet) for you to get a sense of who I am and what I'm like before you make the commitment!
