Hi, I'm Ash!

I will be a safe and caring sitter for your fur baby/babies. I've grown up around animals and have cared for many pets, particularly cats and dogs. Some have called me the 'animal whisperer' and I will adapt to care for your pet(s) in the way that suits their needs.

I have been on Pawshake since 2023 while I was studying at university, and the flexible schedule allowed me to grow my pet sitting profile that includes many repeat clients. I love animals and have enjoyed assisting numerous families and individuals with looking after their pets for a few years now, and although I’m working full-time now, I still commit time outside my working hours to provide house visits for pets who need feeding and company.

I am available on weekends mostly, but I can usually provide services on weekdays where I can feed pets before and after work. I am happy to discuss and plan services to suit your pets’ needs.

I am responsible and will be a fun friend for your pet(s), as well as caring for your home and belongings in an appropriate manner. I have cared for pets for both short-term and long-term timeframes, with the longest being 1 entire year.

Friends and family have relied on me to do home visits for their pets, house-sitting, and dog walking for over the past 10+ years.

I have a quiet temperament, while also being fun and friendly. I am very tidy and will keep spaces clean. I enjoy spending time with all kinds of animals and will happily play with them and be a quality companion for them while you are away.

I am open to discuss the inclusion of small chores/tasks (bringing in mail, putting out bins, watering plants) for home visits. For house sitting, I expect there there to be certain home maintenance to uphold for you, as well as duty of care over home security. These responsibilities will be customised for each service.

I have good knowledge on how to handle cats and dogs of all ages. I will not hesitate to contact you regarding any concerns should they arise, and I do have experience handling animal emergencies from some work experience in a veterinary clinic when I was younger. I have also dealt with bee stings with dogs, and am reasonably comfortable administering most medications.

I am also successful with basic training for dogs - sit, lie down, roll over, shake, and some additional behavioural instructions.

I am observant and will notice any personality/behavioural changes to pets and keep a close eye to ensure duty of care for them. I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby/babies. Please contact me if you have any queries.
