I’m a 40-year-old professional working for the Australian Federal Government, where I lead teams delivering strategic transformation and change projects.
Over the past year, I’ve been house and pet sitting across Melbourne and Victoria full-time, and I’ve completely fallen in love with the lifestyle. Spending time with animals is genuinely my favourite part of every sit — it’s the part I enjoy most and the reason I keep doing this.
I’ve cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs (from small companions to large and working breeds), cats (so many cats!!), chickens, rabbits, horses, birds — and even two llamas (a personal highlight!). I’m calm, patient, and attentive, and I take the time to understand each animal’s routine, personality, and needs.
I’m an active and confident dog walker and genuinely enjoy long walks, so I’m very happy to support regular walks, energetic breeds, and dogs who need a bit more exercise. I’m also available for daytime house visits and check-ins. I usually work from home, which means I’m present and flexible throughout the day — I just need a small bench or table space to set up my laptop during longer visits.
I have a current police check and take great pride in being respectful, reliable, and trustworthy in other people’s homes. I understand the importance of privacy, security, and caring for a home as if it were my own, and I always aim to leave things just as they were left — if not better.

I have always been a pet owner. My first pup have me 18 years of love(poodle). My second pupstar duo gave me 15 years of love (2 cavoodles). I am now lucky enough to be loved by a 13 year old cat.
I miss my pups and would love to get the chance to spend more time with dogs (also cats!). 
I offer 30 min walks from your location. I always walk with dogs on a lead and pick up their poop.
I completely understand when people don't necessarily have the time to take their pupstars on walks, or need to head off on holidays and need to make sure their pets are in good hands, while staying in their family home, safe and sound.
All pets are welcomed, dogs, cats, fish, rats, fish, rabbits, stick insect and ones I haven't thought of right now. (Not the 8 legged kind) . Happy to water plants and bring in mail as well.
Hope you don't mind getting photo updates of your pets. There will be pet spam, sorry not sorry. I also know that a tired dog is a happy dog. I walk at a decent pace if needed. Also happy to take it slow if the pup needs it slower.
I have a habit of talking to animals like they talk back. Even if they are deaf, that doesn't stop me.
I have a reliable car in case there is an emergency. Feed the pets their meals, play with them, give them oodles of love and attention.

Hi everyone ! My names Nik, and I love going on adventures with my big boy Basil. 
After taking guardianship of a 5 year old in tact male German Shepherd for over a year now, I've learnt a lot about behaviour management, safe and responsible handling, and giving my dog the best possible chance at succeeding in our training. They say owning a German shepherd will turn you into a dog trainer, and that's not too far from the truth.&nbsp;
My motivation to sign up to this service is to be able to help other dogs become comfortable in all environments. 
DOG WALKING SERVICE ( read before booking ) : 
This is not a half hour service - and the last place I will be taking your dog to is the dog park. We will be going on nature walks, to the beach, to bunnings and the shops, we will learn how to be calm at the cafe. For this reason my service will be a 1-2 hour commitment. It will be early in the morning (starting at 7am most times). The whole purpose of this experience is to help build confidence in your dog through exercise and exposure to new experiences. This is MOST beneficial for dogs under 15 months old, but also great for all.   
The biggest take away that I have had for this last year, is that consistency and time will naturally create the greatest outcomes. To celebrate the small wins when they happen, and to remain emotionally neutral in the stressful times.  I'm not a dog trainer - but I love learning and improving and I'm fortunate enough to have a dog who is very well behaved with smaller breeds - I can't tell you how many times I've had owners say "my dog usually doesn't like German shepherds, I've never seen him this fine with them".

VACCINATIONS - its totally up to you what you want to do with your dogs health. The only thing I need to see infront of me when I come for pickup, is a healthy happy Dog.
