Why I Love Caring for Pets in Their Own Homes I know how much our animals mean to us. They're family, and leaving them behind when you go away can be one of the hardest parts of planning a holiday. I've been a volunteer Foster Carer with Little Paws Kitten Rescue since 2020, having fostered, nurtured and cared for over 120 kittens — and counting! From tiny, vulnerable kittens needing extra attention to playful little characters ready for their furever homes, it's been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. That's why I particularly love caring for pets in the comfort of their own homes. They get to stay in familiar surroundings, sleep in their favourite spots and maintain their normal routines, without the added stress of an unfamiliar environment. My aim is to make your time away as worry-free as possible, knowing your beloved pets are receiving genuine affection, attention and care. What I Can Offer I'm based in Wellington Point and am particularly interested in home visits and caring for pets while their families are away. Depending on your pet's needs and the service booked, care can include feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning, walks, playtime, cuddles, companionship and keeping their environment clean and comfortable. I'm also happy to help with little extras such as bringing in the mail and watering plants. I'm comfortable caring for almost any animal (though I'm not sure how keen I'd be on a pet spider — but never say never!). I understand that every pet has its own personality, preferences and routine. I'll happily send photos and updates while you're away, so you can enjoy your holiday knowing everyone back home is happy and being well looked after. Above all, I'll treat your pets with the same kindness, patience and love that I give my own. A Little About Me – A Lifetime of Loving Animals! Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember! I grew up on a cattle and sheep property in Central NSW and from a very young age, I was surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes, and was forever bringing home injured, abandoned or orphaned creatures to nurture and care for. I think my parents eventually accepted that rescuing animals was simply part of who I was! That love of animals has never left me. While I'm definitely a cat lover at heart, my love extends to all animals. Our household includes Augie, our slightly crazy Border Collie who loves joining me on my runs, our much-loved cats, and three chickens who appear to have formed a union — between them, we're lucky to get one egg a week!
