Hey, I'm Mavi, 25, and play footy for the Dutch national team.

Back at home I work as a trainer/coach. I set up projects to help people reintegrate into society by going through a 10 week program, where we teach them rugby (as no one really knows rugby in Holland, just soccer) and do cognitive therapy sessions. If i’m not doing that I work with people with autism, children of all ages or teach rugby at the local academie.

Half a year ago my sister Linnie, whose played rugby around Europe, got the opportunity to play rugby league in Australia. She's trialling at the Brisbane Broncos right now. Seeing her do this made me want to come support her in her journey and play some footy myself.

As we're not ready to move up to Brisbane just yet house sitting and paw shake creates the perfect opportunity for us to live near our training area's, but not have permanent residency just yet.

I can come and take care of your pets alone, but if you'd like, me and Linnie can come together.

We live an active livestyle, train a lot, go for a lot of walks, like to go to the beach, but above all, absolutely love dogs.

We grew up surrounded by dogs. Our parents run a doggy daycare in the Netherlands, so from a young age we’ve been used to caring for many different breeds. For the past 17 years we've had around 30 dogs a day living in and around our house.

We also grew up with other animals around the house like chicken, a sheep, goats, potbellied pigs, a pony, a donkey and loads of cats. We love 'em all!
