Hey, my name is Khaila, I'm a mechanical engineering student based in Mudgeeraba and I am so excited to meet your pets! I am a friendly and reliable animal lover with nearly four years experience working at a doggy daycare/pet boarding resort based in Currumbin. I still hold this position, working primarily on weekends, and have gained plenty of knowledge and skills regarding dog and cat care. I am comfortable with pets of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. 

I also have a sweet cocker spaniel called Grizzly whom I share with my partner, so I know how important it is to find someone you genuinely trust with your pet. During my free time, I study for my degree, love going to the beach and spending time in nature, and prioritise my health and fitness with the gym and daily walks/runs. I have full availability from Tuesday to Friday, with partial availability from Saturday to Monday. I also have a drivers license and my own vehicle, so can travel to you as needed. 

I am happy to help with regular dog walks, drop in visits/check ins and overnight stays, depending on what you and your pet need. I genuinely love walking and being outdoors, so I would love to help owners by getting their dogs out for some exercise and enrichment. Working in a boarding environment has also taught me a lot about reading animal behaviours and recognising when a dog is social, nervous, overstimulated, or uncomfortable. I'm used to monitoring things such as dehydration, appetite, and general wellbeing, and I understand that different breeds such as brachy or working pups have different needs.
