Hi, I’m Emma — I’m 26, originally from Ireland and recently moved to Melbourne to play footy. I’m also a qualified primary teacher, so I’m naturally patient, responsible, organised and very used to caring for others. I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats my whole life and have always been comfortable around animals of all personalities, sizes and energy levels.

I have 2 years of experience dog sitting and dog walking in both Ireland and Chicago. This has included overnight stays, daily walks, feeding, playtime, companionship and caring for pets while owners were away. I understand how important it is for owners to feel their pets are safe, relaxed and well cared for, so I always aim to create a calm and comfortable environment for them.

I know every dog has different routines, personalities and needs, so I tailor my care to suit each pet individually. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, training rules and any instructions provided by owners to help dogs feel settled and secure. I’m also comfortable administering basic oral medication if required and keeping owners updated with regular messages and photos for peace of mind.

A typical day with me includes walks ranging from 30–90 minutes depending on the dog’s breed, age and energy levels, along with plenty of attention, play, cuddles and downtime. I enjoy being outdoors and active, so I genuinely love spending quality time walking and engaging with dogs throughout the day.

Safety is very important to me. I always keep my home tidy and pet-safe, ensure dogs are supervised appropriately and pay close attention during walks and outdoor time. In the event of an emergency, I stay calm, contact the owner immediately and would seek veterinary care straight away if needed.

I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of free time for pet care. On my days off, I spend most of the day with the dog, and on workdays I’m usually out of the house for no more than six hours. Dogs staying with me will always have access to a secure outdoor area, attention and a caring environment where they feel safe and happy.
