Hi my name is Jen, I'm 18 years old, I have my certificate 2 in animal care. I'm very active within walking dogs. I volunteer at bargo dingo sanctuary, I walk dingos and also feed them and clean their enclosures. I personally think if I can walk the dingos I can walk crazy fast dogs haha... Next year I will be doing TAFE for my certification 3 for vet nursing and then in 2 years I'll be doing my certificate 4 which is 2 years in TAFE. Within my Certification in animal care 2 I did learn: Workplace Health and Safety (WHS): Participate in safe workplace practices, handle risk, and use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Animal Hygiene Routines: Clean and maintain animal housing, enclosures, bedding, and exercise areas. Feeding and Watering: Implement daily feeding plans, measure proper diet portions, and learn different watering/feeding methods. Animal Handling and Restraint: Safely approach, capture, hold, and restrain a variety of species under supervision. Animal Behaviour and Health: Identify normal vs. abnormal animal behaviour, interpret signs of stress or fear, and assist with health assessments. Basic Animal First Aid: Recognize emergencies, perform initial first aid steps, and learn when and how to transport an animal to a vet. Industry Communication and Records: Maintain animal care records, use industry-specific terminology, and communicate respectfully with team members and the public. Sustainable Work Practices: Measure and reduce the environmental impact of daily tasks in an animal facility. When dogs are at my house they have a big clean bed to sleep in and a big backyard to play in, if they have unusual poop I will notify you, I do have a baby little pool I can always set up if it's a hot day and with ur approval if you would like that for your dogs to play in. Also another way I can teach ur pups to swim if needed. I do not have food provided with me so if possible please give me your own food. I can walk your dog for 2 hours it depends how much you want me to walk your dog. I can also bath dogs and also give them a little trim if needed. I can clean their ears. I can walk up to 2 pets at a time. If you have more I can just do rounds. (Back and forth) In home stay for a night or day, I can -Wash your dog-15$ -Trim-5$ (i only prefer to do trims as I am not confident nor comfortable cutting more than 2 inches of fur) With your permission first, I can give treats for good behaviour to let them learn of their kindness/goodness. They have lots of room to sleep and lots of blankets if they like to snuggle in them (if your dog has a blanket they only prefer, please feel free bring for the time being to make they comfortable.) Also in note of your dog if your dog seems to shed a lot of fur please let me know as I can be more prepared for a big vacuum cleaning spree after their stay. Note: I do live with 3 other people which is my parents and my sister (17), they know to not touch/pet dogs without owners permission and to not feed them.
