I love caring for small dogs because they bring happiness into my life! Growing up with a pug who was confident and funny, I appreciated being able to play and run around with him. Now that I have a more nervous chihuahua, I’ve had to switch my style to be more attentive to her needs, such as walking mostly on leash rather than dog parks, or approaching her more gently. I offer dog walking services for 30mins-1hr. I prefer smaller dogs, mostly so I can have better control of the leash. For this reason, I am also open to calm and very well behaved, low energy larger dogs. I feel confident to handle nervous or introverted dogs as well. However, regardless of their size, reactive or aggressive dogs (towards humans or other dogs) don’t suit me. I don’t feel confident enough to handle those sort of situations and I wouldn’t want something bad to happen :( I am available most days, as long as I have a minimum of 4 days notice beforehand, just so I can plan my week a little bit.
