Hi, my name is Regina. I’ve loved dogs since I was little, though I don’t have one of my own right now. I had a Pomeranian as a child and currently care for several sugar gliders at home. Caring for sugar gliders has taught me patience, attention to detail, and the importance of routines. I also enjoy spending time with my cousin’s dogs, both big and small, and I adapt my approach depending on each dog’s personality and energy level.

I’m currently studying but have enough time to care for pets, giving them plenty of attention, exercise, and playtime. I provide care at the owner’s home and take dogs to local parks for walks and outdoor fun. During walks, I ensure pets are safe on secure leashes, monitor them closely, and adjust the pace and activities to match their temperament. For energetic dogs, I include extra playtime or longer walks to help them burn energy safely. For shy or nervous pets, I give them space and gentle encouragement to build confidence. I am comfortable handling dogs that are reactive, anxious, or need extra reassurance.

While caring for pets at home, I follow owners’ routines carefully, including feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, and rest periods. I also provide supervised play, such as gentle fetch or interactive games that keep dogs mentally stimulated. My experience with smaller animals, like sugar gliders, has made me especially attentive to handling delicate or timid pets.

I am aware of basic pet safety, including monitoring dogs for signs of stress or discomfort during walks and at home. In unexpected situations, such as a dog pulling on the leash, reacting to another dog, or encountering a new environment, I remain calm and prioritise the pet’s safety and comfort. I have informal experience with administering medication when required and can follow owner instructions carefully.

I am available to care for pets during my semester break and can arrange visits at times that suit both the owner and the pet. I provide clear and regular communication, sending updates, photos, or videos during walks or visits so owners feel connected and confident that their pets are safe and happy.

My goal is to provide a loving, reliable, and safe environment where pets feel happy, cared for, and confident, giving owners peace of mind while they are away.
