Hello, I’m Velvet — an experienced and qualified Veterinary Nurse branching out of clinic life for a bit, while staying connected to all of the fluffy, scaled, feathered and furry friends I love.

I have over 4 years of clinical vet nurse experience and 15+ years caring for and learning about the animals we share our lives with - cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, mice, and even reptiles and snakes, backed by further studies in exotic pet vet nursing.

My services include walks (dogs and cats, if that’s what your kitty needs!), overnight stays, drop-ins, and administering medications. Walks are tailored to your pet, not the clock. Depending on their age, energy level, and needs, walks run anywhere from 20 minutes to a full hour - because a quick sniff-and-stroll suits some dogs, while others need a proper leg-stretch.

My vet nursing background means peace of mind: I know how to recognise and respond to injuries, illness or emergencies calmly and quickly. I am also able to follow medication schedules, and administer medications such as oral, topical and subcutaneous injections.

I love other people’s animals as if they were my own, and make sure they’re enriched and supported in their environment so they’re not missing you too much while you’re away. I’m known to be a real chatterbox with animals, so don’t be surprised if I’m having a full conversation with yours!

Every pet gets a tailored approach based on their personality, routine and life stage, whether that’s a bouncy puppy or a gentle senior needing extra care.

Throughout every visit, you’ll get regular updates and photos, so you always know your pet is happy, safe and well looked after.
