Hi, I’m Susanne! Animals have been at the centre of my life for over a decade. In 2013 I left my corporate job to volunteer with animals around the world, from cheetahs in South Africa to koalas here in Australia. After that I spent 9 years as a full-time live-in pet sitter, caring for more than 120 dogs and cats in homes across Australia, Europe, Canada, the Caribbean and Africa, and I earned 40+ five-star reviews along the way. Today I live in Margate. I hold a Certificate II in Animal Care from Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, and I volunteer weekly as a dog handler at Peninsula Animal Aid. I’m comfortable with shy, senior and high-energy dogs, and with cats who like their space. I’m fully insured and police checked. What I offer: 🐕 Dog walks (30 or 60 min): one-on-one walks around your neighbourhood, the beach or local parks, plus fresh water, a towel-down if needed, and a photo update after every walk. 🐾 Drop-in visits (30 min): feeding, fresh water, litter or toilet breaks, medication if needed, playtime and cuddles, and a quick check of your home. 🏠 Overnight house sits at your place: you get an experienced team, my husband Andrew and me. Your pets keep their routine and their own beds, and your home is looked after too: plants, mail and bins included. ☀️ Day care at my place: for small, calm dogs only, as I live in a quiet apartment without a yard. Boarding is limited to one guest at a time. Good to know: I care for dogs and cats. I have experience with alpacas and horses too. I’m unavailable on Friday mornings, when I’m volunteering at the shelter. I always start with a free meet and greet so your pet can get to know me first. I service the Redcliffe Peninsula, as well as Sandgate. My promise: your pet gets my full attention, their usual routine, and you get regular updates so you can relax while you’re away.
