Your pet’s safety and welfare is a big priority for us, which is why all of our Pawshake pet sitters undergo a strict vetting process by our trust and safety team. At Pawshake, we understand that you might feel a little uneasy allowing a pet sitter to enter your home or arranging pet boarding at their place. This is why Pawshake pet sitters also have reviews from other pet parents that are publicly available on their profile for you to read.

I miss dogs so much right now! I just moved back from living in Canada for the last 8 years, where all my friends had dogs, but none of my family in Australia do. I moved to Melbourne to start a Master of Occupational Therapy Practice in February, am a private swim instructor for kids with disabilities, and am looking to find ways to stay active and outdoors while studying.I grew up with a golden retriever from the age of 8 and a cat from birth, have fostered many dogs (from tiny to massive), and have nearly always had a dog and/or a cat in the house when I had housemates too. My ex and I had a large dog for 4.5 years (strong, pulling, anxious, reactive and cuddly pitpull), then I have been walking the dog who lived on my property for another 2 years almost every day (rhodesian ridgeback cross, easiest dog in the world) - both rescue dogs. I looked after my best friend's dogs often (tiny to medium), and would take all 4 dogs out on off leash walks and hikes in the mountains. I have cat sitted for my Dad and a couple of friends, and have dog sat for long and short periods of times when friends went away on holidays (from a few nights to 6 weeks), including pets with special diets, medications, injuries and asthma inhalers.I am staying at my sister's place while I look for a rental, so will just be offering dog walking and services in your own home for now. I love animals more than people and have a kind, playful and gentle approach, but stern, calm and in control when I need to be. Not afraid of any dogs, I win over even the most hesitant dog much faster than others I have been told many times. Many thanks and look forward to meeting your furry friends real soon!

Hello, my abombare is Mariana García, I am a Colombian woman who loves animals, especially dogs, I love being able to go out with them for walks and take a walk in wonderful places, I have more than 10 years of experience with them since in my country I have 3 dogs and a cat. I want to be a petsister because I miss being able to share with my furry friends and give them a lot of love.
I also seek to have that connection with them in a beautiful way, and that you as owners feel identified with me and have the confidence to leave them with me, I can be in your home so as not to take the babies out of their home and comfort zone.
Also, if you wish, we can reach agreements if they stay at your house or at my house as you prefer for your comfort.

Currently overseas and unavailable till at least January 2027
I am a pet lover, having grown up with cats and chickens and more recently been around many friend's dogs. I also started house and dog sitting last year and absolutely loved the experience. As I love travelling I can't have pets of my own so I live through your pets instead! I have experience walking, feeding and looking after small and medium/large dogs such as labradors and border collies.
I am currently working full time in Thomastown but I start early and finish early so am available for dog walking weekday evenings, Friday afternoons and weekends. I am available for home visits to feed pets and administer medication. These home visits can be up to one hour long and I'm also available to water plants and bring in the mail. I am available for dog walking up to one hour per session. I can take the dogs for walks in local parks and let them run around off leash if you would like. I travel by bike or public transport and am flexible. At the moment I'm only open to house and dog sitting that is maximum 1 hour bike or train/bus ride from my work off Settlement Road in Thomastown.
I have experience dog sitting while house sitting in Melbourne. I have looked after one or two dogs (Labrador, border collie and other breeds) at each time and taken them for 40 - 60 minute walks twice daily. I have walked them on and off leash. I have fed the dogs according to the owners instructions, including oral medication.

Hi! I’m a passionate and reliable pet lover with a lifelong connection to animals. I grew up surrounded by pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and budgies, which taught me from an early age how to care for animals responsibly, attentively, and with genuine affection.

Since my teenage years, I’ve been trusted by neighbours and friends to look after their pets, giving me hands-on experience with a wide range of dog and cat breeds, each with their own personalities and needs. I’m confident handling dogs of different sizes and energy levels, and I tailor my care to suit each individual pet. Walks can be up to one hour long, depending on your dog’s needs and your preferences.

I also offer home visits, which include plenty of quality time, feeding, toilet breaks, and attentive general care to ensure your pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I have experience supporting senior pets and understand the extra patience, gentleness, and attention they may require.

I lead an active lifestyle and genuinely enjoy spending time outdoors, making dog walking a natural fit. I know a variety of local parks and routes, from quiet, relaxed paths to more stimulating sniff spots, to suit different temperaments.

With a flexible schedule, I’m available most days of the week and take pride in providing reliable, loving care. I look forward to bringing companionship, comfort, and joy to pets in my local community.

Hi I'm Andy I'm 23 and I'm in Australia for a cricket season. I'm passionate about cricket, fitness and animals. I have a border terrier at home as well as 2 cats.
I'd love any excuse to get outdoors and get some more steps in with a furry companion. Available for dog walks, runs and potentially dog sitting for anytime during the week Monday to Friday (I'll be playing cricket on the weekend!)
I've had plenty of experience looking after dogs of all shapes and sizes back home in the UK.
Unfortunately as I'm renting I won't be able to look after dogs in my house but I'm available for all other services outside of hosting. I also train in the evenings of Tuesday and Thursday for cricket but I'm willing to miss out on that for the right hound!
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
