I've always been an animal lover since I was born, and signed up for Pawshake to fill that hole in my life now I've moved into an apartment that just can't fit a four legged friend. My old housemates will be happy that I stop going back to their place to see their pets and get my clothes covered in dog hair again like the good old days.

I have plenty of experience with dogs of all ages, sizes and dispositions and enjoy giving them the care that is best for each individual pooch. Cats and I have found a mutual respect for one another over the years as well, and I'm always happy to give scritches or space depending on what they want. 

I also enjoy taking care of the more Disney animal category of pets too, and ensure I follow instructions to the letter so they can maintain the level of luxury they're accustom to. 

When I take care of any pet I treat them as if they were my own, giving them the love and attention they're missing out on whole their family member/s are away. I also make sure to send plenty of photos and answer any questions or requests to give you peace of mind. 

I also have experience providing medication, as well as end of life care to senior and terminal pets, and am comfortable providing care for pets that require any special kind of care and attention.

Every dog walk is tailored to each pet too, whether an older dog may need a shorter walk at a slower pace, or a younger pooch may need their leash training maintained even while you're away, I ensure the walk suits your dog and their interests. Lots of opportunities for sniffing and engagement so that when they get home they can have a nice long sleep and dream about all the scents they sniffed and pats they received on their walk. The length of the walk depends on their needs, and can range from a 10-15 minute gentle walk with indoor engagement to be easier on their body, to a 30 minute intensive energy expending trot for high energy pups.

During each meal visit, I ensure each visit fits into mealtimes as much as possible so that their routine is interrupted as little as possible. Along with following the meal plan you've set, I refresh their water, clean up any messes, reset any brakn stimulation toys they may have, play with them (if they're interested) and send you photos and updates.

In the event of an emergency, my first step will be to contact the owner, or the proxy contact they've provided, and provide a clear description of the emergency and my suggested next steps. If uncontactable, I act as if the pet is my own and do everything in my power to resolve the emergency, such as taking them to the vet for required care.
