Hi! I’m Barbara, a third-year mature-aged (this is what they call us now if you're in your thirties!!) physiotherapy student based in Kogarah. I’ve grown up with dogs and absolutely love being around them.

For a few years now, I've been volunteering at Monika’s Doggie Rescue in Ingleside, where I regularly walk dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. My favourites are sweet pittie/staffy mixes that definitely get the wrong rap but are the loveliest! It is an hour drive though, so I am looking forward to walking some doggies closer to home!

I live with my two rescue cats - Bast and Freya, so I can’t have a dog of my own right now, which is why I love any chance to spend time with them!

I am used to reactive dogs as most dogs walked at the rescue are quite dog reactive or sometimes aggressive. I always keep my distance from other dogs and I communicate with other owners clearly before I approach.

I stay calm and confident in all situations which keeps the dogs calm too!

Whether your dog enjoys a brisk walk or a slower sniff around the neighbourhood, I’d love to help keep them happy, active, and well cared for. I offer 30-minute to 1-hour walks.
