Hi there! My name is Sophie, and I’m a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter who genuinely loves animals. I’ve grown up around pets my whole life, previously owning a cat and currently caring for my sweet 8-year-old beagle who loves cuddles, walks, and plenty of attention. Over the past few years, I’ve also casually pet sat for friends and family with both large and small dogs, so I’m comfortable handling different breeds, personalities, and energy levels.

I aim to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I understand that every dog has their own routine, so I always take the time to learn their feeding schedules, walking preferences, behaviour, and comfort needs to keep things as normal and stress-free as possible. Whether your dog is energetic and playful, shy and anxious, or older and needing a gentler approach, I’m patient and happy to adapt to what makes them feel secure.

A typical day with me includes lots of supervision, playtime, cuddles, toilet breaks, enrichment, and walks tailored to your dog’s needs and energy level. My walking services range from quick 10-minute toilet or exercise walks to longer 30–45 minute walks for more active pups. Home visits can last up to 2 hours, and house/pet sitting stays can range from overnight care to month-long stays if needed.

I’m home most of the week aside from a small number of work shifts on Monday nights and Saturday mornings, and short days at Uni, meaning your pet will receive plenty of companionship and won’t be left alone for long periods. During first meetings, I like to take things slowly and calmly so your pet can become comfortable with me at their own pace. I also have basic experience reinforcing simple commands and routines such as sitting calmly, waiting at doors, and maintaining good walking behaviour.

Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are extremely important to me. In the case of illness or an emergency, I have my driver’s licence and can transport your pet to the vet if needed while keeping you fully updated throughout the process. Communication is something I value highly, so you can expect regular updates, photos, messages, and even phone or FaceTime check-ins so you always feel connected to your pet while you’re away.
