Tex and I are a young couple who absolutely love dogs. We share our home with our one-year-old female dog, Sypha, who is a Bull Arab mix and incredibly friendly, gentle, and great with other dogs. Sypha is fully vaccinated and up to date.

I work from home, which means your dog will have plenty of company and supervision throughout the day. Your pup would spend time with Sypha, who loves having dog friends around and is very social.

Our daily routine usually starts with a big morning walk with Sypha to get some energy out before the day begins. After that I’m home working for most of the day, but my work is very flexible. I occasionally have short online meetings, but nothing that prevents me from being present with the dogs. I often take little breaks during the day for playtime, treats, and cuddles so the dogs feel relaxed and cared for.

Before any stay, we would make sure Sypha and your dog have a chance to meet to ensure they’re comfortable together. If they ever need some space, we have different areas of the house that can be separated so each dog can have their own quiet chill-out zone. In the past when one dog had a bit more energy than the other, it was as simple as giving them both a little time in their own spaces to reset.

Our home is well set up for dogs, with a doggy door so they can move between inside and outside, plenty of toys, and lots of comfortable spots to relax. Our yard is fully fenced on all sides so dogs can safely enjoy time outside.

Because we already have Sypha, we host a maximum of one guest dog at a time so every dog gets plenty of attention and space.

We’ve also invested time in training Sypha — she completed puppy school as well as the next level of training — which has given us a really good foundation for understanding dog behaviour and managing different personalities.

For peace of mind, we live only a five-minute drive from Marlin Coast Vet Clinic, and we have transport available if your dog ever needed immediate care.

We’re happy to tailor care depending on your dog’s needs — whether that’s relaxed time at home, neighbourhood walks, or trips to the dog park. Overnight stays are absolutely welcome too.
