About Cristina
Hi, I'm Cristina!
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up in a family where pets were never "just pets" They were family members. Throughout my life, I have cared not only for dogs, but also for cats, rabbits, hamsters, ducks, and many other animals.
While I love all animals, I have always had a particularly special connection with dogs. There is something about their loyalty, affection, and unique personalities that has always touched my heart. I've never really known life without a dog by my side, and caring for them has always come naturally to me.
Back in my home country, I still have three beloved dogs who remain part of my family today. Moving to Australia was one of the hardest parts of leaving home because it meant being away from them. Because of visa uncertainty, I didn't feel it was the right time to get my own dog, even though I missed having one every day. Fortunately, that situation is finally changing, and later this year I will finally be able to welcome a dog of my own into my life again.
My partner and I own our spacious two-bedroom apartment in Kensington, Sydney. It also has a lovely private terrace, giving dogs extra space to relax while always remaining safely indoors. We are both very active people who love exercising, walking, and spending time outdoors, so any dog staying with us will enjoy plenty of activity, long walks, and lots of love and attention.
One of the things we love most about where we live is how many beautiful green spaces surround us. We are lucky to be just a short walk from several fantastic parks:
• Centennial Park – approximately 5 minutes' walk. One of Sydney's largest and most beautiful parks, with kilometres of walking paths, open fields, lakes, and endless opportunities for exercise and exploration.
• Moore Park – approximately 7 minutes' walk, offering wide open spaces and scenic walking paths that are perfect for daily adventures.
• Kensington Park – approximately 8–10 minutes' walk, with large grassy areas ideal for playtime and regular walks.
• Raleigh Park – approximately 10–12 minutes' walk, a peaceful green space perfect for relaxed strolls.
• Joynton Park – approximately 20–25 minutes'walk, featuring a popular fenced off-leash dog park where dogs can safely socialise and play.
Because we genuinely enjoy being outdoors, our daily walks usually last around 45 minutes. However, every dog is different. If your dog has lots of energy and enjoys longer adventures, we're always happy to extend our walks. Our goal is to provide the right balance of exercise, mental stimulation, playtime, affection, and rest for every dog.
Having lived with dogs my entire life has taught me that every dog has their own personality and routine. Some love running and exploring, while others simply want cuddles and quiet companionship. I always take the time to understand each dog's individual needs so they feel safe, relaxed, and happy during their stay.
I work in the mornings and usually return home around 3 pm. My partner works from home in the mornings, so in most cases one of us is always at home. This means your dog will receive plenty of supervision, companionship, affection, and care throughout the day.
Within our apartment, we would place your dog's bed in the living room, where they can relax and feel part of the family. If they're feeling a little anxious, missing home, or simply need some extra reassurance during their first few nights, we're more than happy to move their bed into our bedroom so they feel safe, secure, and never alone.
Although we live in an apartment, dogs in our care enjoy multiple daily walks, outdoor adventures, enrichment activities, and plenty of human company. We don't see dogs as "just pets". They're family members, and we'll care for yours with the same love, patience, and respect that we would give our own.
I understand how difficult it can be to leave your pet in someone else's care. That's why I will look after them as if they were part of my own family, following their usual routine and making sure they feel safe, loved, comfortable, and happy while you're away. I'm also happy to send regular updates and photos so you can have complete peace of mind.
I would be delighted to meet you and your furry family member!
