Hi, I'm Theertha! I'm currently pursuing my Master's in Environmental Management at the University of Queensland. I have been lucky to be surrounded by pets from a young age upto my adulthood.  Back home in India, I have had pets of my own, which has given me a deep understanding of the love, patience, and responsibility that comes with caring for animals. One of my pets being a rescue who needed specific attention and care has also taught me how to cater to easily stimulated and frightened dogs. 

Having lived with pets, I know that they are more than just companions, they are family. I enjoy spending time with animals, understanding their unique personalities, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. Whether it's going for walks, keeping them company, following their routines, providing necessary medications, giving them space if they prefer or simply giving them some affection, I’m happy to provide the care and attention they need.

I have also been trusted to pet sit my friends pets including cats and dogs in India while they had professional commitments and it has always been a joy to spend time with my furry friends. 

I am open to house sit, taking pets for walks and doing frequent visits. During my house sitting, I would ideally like to get certain context of the requirements of the pet so as to ensure that I can stick to their typical schedule and will time walks, feeding and other activities accordingly. This will ensure that they are not stressed by the small shift in their daily schedule and they feel that you are at home. I also assure that I will give regular updates of how your little one is doing while you are away to ensure that you can have a worryles day. 
If the requirement is to take the pets for a walk I will ensure to enquire on their behavior in different scenarios while going for a walk to ensure that they are comfortable and I am prepared for any situation. A walk will typically last half an hour unless the respective pet shows signs of wanting to return early after spending a significant time outside. I am comfortable handling three small pets and 2 large pets at a time. 

Moving to Brisbane has been an exciting new chapter, and I would love the opportunity to meet and care for pets in the community. You can trust that your furry friend will be treated with the same love and care I have always given my own pets.
