I’m Marama, 28 year old kiwi gal, fun loving animal enthusiast and proud dog mama 🐾🐾

I’m brand new to pawshake and the pet sitting community and I’m looking forward to working with you and your lovely pets.

I’m originally from Christchurch NZ and recently relocated to QLD in October 24' with my partner and our two gorgeous black Labradors, Hiwa & Baz. We are stoked to be here and find out all about the pet friendly spaces Australia has to offer!

As a dog Mum myself, I understand the demands of a busy lifestyle, I know how challenging it can be to ensure our pets receive the attention and stimulation they deserve and the angst feeling that comes when we have to leave them behind for work trips or holidays. That's why I’m eager to assist fellow pet owners by providing attentive care for your beloved animals.

SERVICES

(Calendar updated regularly: availability for house sitting in based on a fortnightly schedule as my partner works 7 on 7 off and I am only available to stay overnight when he is at home with our own pets, thank you for your understanding).

Dog Walking:

(30-60mins)

Max 2 dogs per walk.

If you are a 2+ dog household and would like all your pets to go for walkies please make a 2nd booking as I can only manage 2 dogs per walk atm.

Pet Sitting/Home-stays:

Going abroad for a few weeks or more?

I’ll ensure your pets are safe and happy in the comfort of their familiar environment and routines and I’ll keep your house secure and tidy while you’re away.

As mentioned, I am a working dog mama myself so your pets will be alone during weekdays for no longer than 6 -8hours. I will be with your babies 🐶🐱 in the mornings and evenings and will stay at your home overnight keeping your pets company and providing ample snuggles and belly rubs 🐵🙈🙉🙊 💕 (note: my dogs will not be in attendance)

Home Visits:

Generally completed early morning 6.00am-9.00am and afternoon-evening 3.00pm-7.00pm.

I can come 1x or 2x/day and at short notice, if you're stuck at the airport, unexpected plans etc, no fuss, give me a bell.

During home visits I will replenish your pets water and food bowls, give them medicine if required, let them outside for a stretch and toilet break. Clean up their droppings and have play time and cuddles. It's not essential to have access to inside your property if you are not comfortable. If you have outdoor pets or pet doors installed so your animals can come and go freely, I only need instructions on feeding/ medicine and supplies to be left somewhere accessible.

Home visits are around 10-15 mins for cats, birds and reptiles and visits with dogs are usually up to 60mins or longer if your pet needs/likes lots of stimulation and attention. That's ok with me, I like cuddles and attention too ☺️
