About Caitlan

Dogs have pretty much always been part of my life.

I grew up around foster dogs and have always absolutely loved animals, especially getting to know all the different personalities that come with them.

In high school, I lived with my auntie, who is a mobile dog groomer, and I’d occasionally help her out, which meant even more dogs in my life (absolutely no complaints from me).

This year I sadly said goodbye to two very loved dogs in my life, my childhood dog at 12 and my auntie’s foster dog at 15. They both lived long, beautiful lives, but I definitely miss having a dog around to look after, walk and cuddle. Pet sitting feels like a pretty perfect way to fill that dog-shaped gap while earning a little extra money alongside uni and work.

I have experience with Labradoodles (close to my heart), Staffies, Border Collies, Dobermans and Rottweilers, including dogs with injuries or additional needs, medication and specific dietary requirements. I’m comfortable following detailed routines and understand that every dog has their own habits, boundaries and needs.

For walks, I’m fairly petite, so small and medium dogs are generally perfect for me. I’m also comfortable with larger dogs that are reasonably good on the lead. The biggest puller I’ve successfully walked was a very enthusiastic Labradoodle, so I can hold my own, but perhaps no determined Huskies dragging me down the street 😂

A little about me: I’m a free-spirited uni student studying to become a secondary English teacher, and I also work in policy and advocacy for children and young people in WA. Between uni and work I’m usually only out around three days of the week, so I have plenty of flexibility and would love to spend some of that extra time doing something I genuinely enjoy.

I’m friendly, personable and flexible, and I’m always happy to chat about your pet’s individual routine and work out arrangements that suit you both. Most importantly, I’ll give them plenty of attention, affection and company while you’re away. 🐶💗
