About us and our home:

My hubby and I are in our mid 30s, just the 2 of us happily staying in a 2 room apartment in Hurstville NSW. No roommates / kids / pets of our own (yet)!

Our floors are all floorboards (easy to clean in case of accidents!) and we keep it clean and uncluttered for our dog friends to have space to roam around freely. We also have a large balcony for those who like to bask in the sun!
*Please note we are staying in Hurstville till end June, after which we will be in Five Dock till end July 2026. 

We are happy to welcome fully vaccinated small to medium dogs (up to max 2 at a time) to ensure they will get sufficient space, love and attention. 

I work from home full time so your fur babies will not be left alone and will have plenty of attention and play time!

Doggy day care / boarding services:

• Our apartment building has a carpark / loading area for convenient drop offs and pick ups by car 
• Day care rate is for up to 8 hours, extra fees may apply beyond that
  
• Boarding rate is for up to 15 hours overnight (e.g. 6pm drop off, pick up by 9am next day)
• We promise to give constant love and supervision to your fur kids. Will not leave them alone (unless with advance notice)! 
• Can take them out for 1-2 walks a day, 20 - 30 min each walk, depending on your dog's needs and energy. Please let us know your usual walk schedule and we'll do our best to follow it! 
• Can feed food and medications as per your instructions. Please provide the food, treats and feeding schedule. If you like, I'm happy to also cook chicken or pork for them at cost price (Rio, our previous foster dog, absolutely loved minced pork!)
• Please also provide your dog's toys or comfort, items, harness & leash, and poop bags. 
• Lastly, we know you miss your fur kids and want to know how they're doing throughout the day! Happy to send photos / videos as much as you like. 

Why we open our 🏠♥️ to dog friends:

My family has always loved dogs - we have 2 adorable white fluffy dogs (a Maltese and a Westie, that now live with my sister in Singapore), that we helped care for since they were puppies. 

We thought of becoming dog sitters though only because of a sad situation in end 2022 - my boss suddenly passed away, leaving behind his beloved 13 yo border collie, Rio. With noone to care for him, we took him home for 8 months. We unfortunately could not officially adopt him though because our home in Singapore was too small (it was not legally allowed). But I personally interviewed and met with several potential pawrents, and he has since found his new forever home and we still meet and get regular updates on Rio! 🥰

We absolutely loved having Rio stay with us, filling our home with love and fur, and his health even improved under our care (verified by a vet!). We do believe we have the capacity, capabilities and lots of love to give, and so very much look forward to meeting more furry (and human) friends through Pawshake 😊
